He shook his head in disbelief, "No way. You're pulling my leg. I've gone through the contract. It's all in order."

Nathan replied with a teasing smirk, "Oh, the contract's spotless, alright. I'm not one to dabble in shady dealings. But whether Rowland Inc. will actually make a dime? Well, that's another kettle of fish."

Then, like a dagger to the heart, he added, "You might want to chat with your old man about how he got chummy with Mr. Gyle. Trusting him like that? What a fool."

With that, Nathan casually slipped on his sunglasses and walked away with an air of confidence.

Benjamin almost crumpled to the ground.

At the entrance of Rowland Corporation, Nathan and Gavin unexpectedly crossed paths. Nathan stood inside, Gavin outside, just a stone's throw apart.

Gavin greeted him warmly, "You must be the famous Mr. Morris, right? I've heard so much about you. Leaving already? How about staying for dinner?"

Nathan just smirked, not bothering to reply. He knew Benjamin, indecisive as ever, would soon spill the beans to Gavin about who he really was.

Sure enough, Gavin's phone buzzed a moment later.

Gavin flashed Nathan an apologetic grin, "Give me a sec, please"

As he listened to Benjamin’s tearful voice on the line, Gavin's face darkened with each word, though the details were lost to Nathan.

By the time Gavin ended the call, the atmosphere had chilled considerably.

Sensing the tension, Ford and Dominick stepped up like loyal sentries in front of Nathan.

Nathan, calm and composed, replied, "My buddy Ford's got a thing for symmetry. Everything's gotta look neat, pretty, and useful. Maybe you'd like to see if my bodyguards can hold their own. Would be nice to see them in action for once."

Ford, puzzled, asked Dominick, "Who says good-looking guys are useless?"

Dominick nudged his head away, "Don't block my view. It's not every day you get front-row seats to an epic showdown. I need to learn some moves."

Ford's head popped back into view, obstructing Dominick again.

Sighing, Dominick replied, "Whoever thinks handsome men are useless hasn't met our boss. In New York, he's the man everyone respects. Who wouldn't give him a thumbs up?"

Reassured, Ford felt justified in hiring his striking bodyguards, finally relaxing.
