Benjamin slouched with a look that was part innocent, part aggrieved. "Dad, you can't pin this all on me. Even Mr. Gyle, as sharp as he is, missed the loophole in the contract. If you ask me, Nathan's just too crafty. Mr. Gyle and I fell right into his trap."

Andrew's eyes darkened. "That doesn't make sense. Gyle's always been so careful. How did he miss Nathan's scheme this time?"

A thought struck Benjamin. "Dad, could it be that Mr. Gyle’s been bought off by Nathan?"

Andrew shook his head. "No way. Gyle's been by my side for decades. We go way back to childhood."

Benjamin pressed on, "But Nathan spoke about Mr. Gyle in such a weird way..."

Andrew's face fell, a sudden thought hitting him hard, turning his complexion pale. He stormed out, seething, "Gyle, Gyle. If you’ve betrayed me, we’re done."

Benjamin hurried after him.

They headed straight to Gyle's office.

Gyle sat calmly at his desk, and when he saw the Rowlands, he just glanced up with a serene look. The usual respect he showed was gone.

Instead, he looked at them like they were fools, a slight smirk playing on his lips.

Even Andrew, no matter how stubborn, should've figured out Gyle was up to something.

Frowning deeply, Andrew pointed an accusing finger at Gyle. "Gyle, be straight with me. Did you know about the trap in the contract or not?"

Andrew waved it off. "You just don't get it."

Seeing Andrew's anxious state, Gyle chuckled.

"There’s no lasting grudge between a father and son. Resolve conflicts quickly. As they say, 'like father, like son.' If Rowland Inc can snag this chance to work with Nathan, the future’s prosperity will be Benjamin's."

Andrew felt tempted.

But another voice inside warned him: He won’t forgive you. You’re dreaming.
