Nathalie giggled, “You’re just not experienced in love, it’s understandable.”

Nathalie eyed him suspiciously, “Why the sudden rush?” Nathan took her hand gently, kissing it softly, “I’m scared I might lose my chance. I’d regret it forever if I did.”

Nathalie ruffled his hair, “What are you talking about? Losing your chance? You think I’m that flaky?”

Nathan asked cautiously, “But if... I mean if, Nina’s no-good dad changes his ways and wants to patch things up, would you leave me to give Nina a complete family?”

When Nathalie and Nathan headed downstairs, the nanny had already set up breakfast.

But the dining room was oddly quiet today. Nathan frowned and asked, “Where is everyone?”

The nanny smiled, “The little one insisted on going out with Dominick and Ford, so they had breakfast early and left about half an hour ago.”

Nathan’s face darkened, “Those two think I’m just decoration? Taking the little miss out without a word to me?”

He then instructed the nanny, “Call Dominick and Ford right now, and tell them to get back pronto.”
