Greta stood firm, "Yes, I'm sure my husband is having an affair with Nathalie..."

Nathalie asked, "Do you have any proof?"

Greta replied, "Proof? Well, that depends on how thoroughly the police decide to investigate."

The two officers suddenly looked displeased. "Mrs. Dawson, are you saying you have absolutely no evidence and yet you're accusing Cameron and Nathalie of conspiring against you?"

Greta shot back with a hint of arrogance, "Isn't that your job?"

The officer was momentarily speechless. Before he could get angry, Cameron pulled them aside, "My wife might be under a lot of stress, possibly delusional. That's why she's making these wild accusations about me and Ms. Nathalie. Maybe I should arrange for a doctor to do a mental health evaluation. If it shows she's unwell, these accusations would be baseless, and we can end this."

The officers left with frowns etched on their faces.

Cameron walked them out.

Now, only Greta, Nathalie, and Nathan were left in the room.

Greta's eyes lingered on Nathan, a knowing, icy smile flickering at the corners of her mouth.

"Nathalie, could you give us a moment? I need to talk to Nathan alone," Greta suddenly commanded.

Nathalie glanced at Nathan, but Nathan recoiled from Greta like she was a snake. Holding Nathalie’s hand, he impatiently refused Greta, "I have no interest in being alone with you. You might start making wild accusations again. Even jumping into the Thames wouldn't clear my name then."

Nathan turned to Greta, his tone cold, "Say what you need to, Greta. Nathalie and I have no secrets."

Greta's lips curled slightly, "Nathan, what I'm about to say... if Nathalie hears it, your relationship with her might just end."

Nathan's face paled, his fair skin almost translucent until Nathalie firmly held his hand, calming him a bit.

"Nathan, you're really worried about Nathalie and Cameron getting back together, aren't you?"

As soon as Greta spoke, Nathan's eyes flashed with a cold glare. Greta had hit on his deepest fears, which made her chuckle.

"Looks like I was right."

Nathan replied darkly, "They will never get back together."

Greta said, "Nathan, stolen happiness never lasts."

Nathan's hand clenched tightly under his sleeve, "Greta, look at yourself now. Do you know what you look like?"

"I'm aware I'm not looking my best right now," Greta admitted with a touch of self-awareness.
