Regan's face took on a serious look. This man, who had weathered the storms of the business world, was always so calm and collected. Seeing him rattled was a first.

Dustin waited patiently for the old man to speak, but after what felt like forever, he realized no explanation was coming.

Just as he was about to lose hope, Dustin blurted out, "He's getting back at us because of Nathalie."

Dustin was shocked. "All this over a woman? Nathan's risking a feud with the Stewart family? Wow, talk about being head over heels."

Regan just stared at his son, speechless.

Dustin suddenly realized he might be missing something. "Wait, why would he do that? We haven't wronged Miss Nathalie. What's his deal?"

Regan’s gaze flickered, clearly uncomfortable, and he quickly changed the topic. "How's Ashley doing these days?"

Dustin replied, "She's been moody."

Regan nodded, "Tell her to focus on getting ready to be a bride."

"Will do."

"And ask her to have a word with her fiancé about putting Nathan in his place."

Dustin nodded again, "Of course."

After leaving Regan's study, Dustin headed straight to Ashley's room. It took her a while to open the door.

She was halfway through her makeup, clearly putting a lot of effort into looking her best.

Dustin smiled warmly, "Your mom says you've been really into beauty treatments lately. What's up with that?"

Ashley's face darkened, and Dustin stopped talking.

Ashley took a deep breath, "Dad, if it's about the family's future, I'll swallow my pride and ask him."

Dustin smiled, "Thanks, sweetheart."

Over at the Dawson Estate.

Cameron was at the computer, intently reviewing contracts. Benjamin, sitting next to him, chirped, "Cameron, don't waste your time. Nathan's plans are airtight. When he set us up, there were zero loopholes."

Cameron had been searching for days, finding nothing. He sighed, tossing the mouse aside, "Are we just sitting ducks for Nathan?"

Benjamin shook his head, "What else can we do? Nathan's mind is something else. To set up so many companies to trap us in no time, the guy's a mastermind."
