Greta felt a bittersweet twinge in her heart.

Nina was in full meltdown mode, "I want Mommy, I want Mommy."

Lizzy just stood there, unfazed.

Cameron, struggling to keep Nina in check, pleaded with Lizzy, "Can’t you at least let her say goodbye to her mom?"

Lizzy shot back, "My sister doesn’t want to see anything that reminds her of you."

Cameron's normally composed face went pale. He never imagined that messing with Nathan would hurt Nathalie more than if he'd harmed her directly. Nathalie had always adored her daughter, but now, for Nathan, she was willing to let her go. Just how much must she despise him now?

"Nina, we need to go," Cameron said, sounding defeated.

Nina was sobbing her heart out, "I don’t want to go, I don’t want to go. I want Mommy."

Benjamin, tapping his foot impatiently, chimed in, "Cameron, come on, cheer her up. Tell her you’ll buy her a castle, a cake, take her on a trip..."

Cameron gently stroked Nina’s hair, "Did you hear that? Daddy will get you all the things you love. Please, stop crying. Okay?"

Greta started mentally tallying up the cost of those promises, grumbling, "Cameron, are you really going to buy her all that expensive stuff? You shouldn’t spoil a kid like that."

Miranda nodded in agreement, "Exactly."

Nina shot Greta a fierce look, "When Gavin was around, he bought me things way more expensive than this. But my mom never thought Gavin was spoiling me. She was just thankful for Gavin being nice to me."

Cameron held Nina firmly. "Alright, let's go. Daddy will buy them for you right away." Nina's resistance slowly faded as she nestled into Cameron's arms.

Once Cameron and the others left, Lizzy returned to Nathalie.

"Is she gone?" Nathalie asked.

With that resolve, Nathalie finally made a decision, "Lizzy, get the casket ready for our benefactor."

Lizzy, tears streaming down her face, replied, "Yes."

Soon, Dominick and Ford were called in.

They carefully placed Nathan into the wooden casket and carried it to the garden, where a grave had already been dug.

As they lowered the casket into the ground and began to cover it with earth, Nathalie collapsed, crying uncontrollably.

"Nathan, don’t leave me."
