Andros’s POV

As I stared intently at Giselle, I couldn’t help but notice the tension etched in her features.

It was clear that she was struggling with her emotions. I could recognize the anger and resentment simmering just beneath her surface.

Her narrowed eyes and tight jaw spoke volumes about her feelings towards Astrid.

A flicker of satisfaction ran through me. I wasn’t alone in my feelings; I could see that Giselle shared my disdain, matching the hatred I harbored towards Astrid.

I shifted slightly in my seat, feeling the weight of the moment. It was evident that she did not approve of Astrid living with them in their Pack.

Her disapproval is more than just being protective; it’s rooted in a deep-seated dislike that resembles exactly what I feel towards Astrid.

I understand what Giselle is going through right now. And right now, what she needs is help. I believe I could give her exactly the help that she needs.

My father suddenly spoke up, breaking the tension in the room. “Great, now that is settled, Astrid will travel with you back to the Silvermoon Pack. The earlier we start the training, the better prepared we will be for the challenges ahead.”

My father’s words hung in the air, a decisive move that shifted the focus back to action.

Alpha Killian nodded, his expression resolute. “We’ll make the necessary arrangements for her arrival. The warriors need to be ready, and I’ll ensure that we prioritize their training.”

Giselle’s face turned even more ugly as she turned more upset by her husband’s response. No one took notice of her except for me.

My father’s gaze swept one last time across the crowd before concluding the meeting. “Everyone is dismissed. Let’s focus on our preparations and ensure our Packs are ready for what lies ahead.”

As the leaders began to rise from their seats, I sat and waited. I glanced at Astrid and Father, who retreated to the corner. I know the Father is worried about Astrid; he must be giving her reminders to take care of herself.

I could see how the father yearns for intimacy with his daughter. However, Astrid stood in the distance, still treating his own father like he was an Alpha and she was just his subordinate.

Meanwhile, Asha held an unreadable expression on her face as she left. Even as she hurried to leave the room, I could still read through her.

She’s in a hurry to leave because she’s afraid that she won’t be able to hold back her emotions and accidentally burst out on her father.

I have told her to be smart. The more she makes mistakes, the more she will be estranged from her father. I’m glad to see that she took my advice very well.

“Father, excuse me. I’ll continue with my tasks,” I excused myself to Father respectfully before leaving.
