Rejected Mate novel Chapter 30

The minute we reach the pack boundary, I sit up in my seat more in readiness for what will come next; as we cross the border, I hear all my pack members voice welcoming us home after they felt my presence enter the pack property.

I watch as we slowly get closer to the packhouse, making my nerves hick in; please, everything be okay, I think to myself before Hazyn takes his hand off the wheel and grabs my thigh, giving it a reassuring squeeze that everything will be fine.

I know Ben can look after the pack. He’s done it plenty of times before, but I don’t want the pack to be destroyed when I’ve just taken over, and at times we couldn’t contact the pack at all while away, which didn’t help my nerves.

I notice the packhorse in the distance approaching faster than before, still intact after our time away; I let out a sigh of relief, knowing that everything is okay with the pack.

As we pull up to the pack, I jump out of the car and rush to my office, where I notice ben bent over my desk asleep.

“Hello, sleepyhead”, I giggle, making him open his eyes and jump up out of my seat.

“Alpha, how was the trip?” Ben questions making me shake my head

“Good up until the end; that was just complicated but never mind that what’s going on here?” I question, making ben flip through the paperwork.

“I caught up on all your paperwork and have sent it all away. Everything here just needs to be filed away; we had a rouge enter our lands for a slip second yesterday but got spooked off immediately, so ran back into no man's land, and Ashley wants to see you in our room at some point today to tell you what’s going on with her” ben smiles I nod my head

“I’ll go there now and see what is going on; thank you, ben” I smile great-fully before leaving the office and heading towards their room.

Once I arrive at their door, I knock twice, waiting for Ashley. Once she opens the door, I am grabbed by my jumper and pulled into the bedroom
