Time skip 10 years later
“Sofie you’re going to be late” I yell up the stairs waiting for my dear daughter to hurry up and get to school. I watch as all the other kids come skipping down the steps and towards the front door to catch the bus to school but my daughter is nowhere in sight.
“That’s it” I call before storming up the stairs to her bedroom door where I notice Hazyn exiting
“Not today” he mumbles before pulling me away.
“What now?” I question worried. The last few weeks Sofia has been having a rough time and keeps staying home and no one will tell me why.
“She will open up with you tonight just get your work done” Hazyn smiles as the door opens as Ben walks in with his work piled up in his arms.
Once Hazyn has left the room I turn to Ben and smile
“You okay today?” I question making him nod sadly. Three months ago Ashley passed away unexpectedly in the middle of the night and we have no idea as to what caused it; Ben has been trying to be strong for the twins but he’s been struggling a lot lately.
“Yeah, heard Sofia in her room still no better?” He questions making me sigh and fall back into my office chair.
“I don’t know what’s going on to be honest she won’t talk to me; we had the best relationship growing up and then all of a sudden she won’t talk to me and will only speak to Hazyn and it upsets me so much” I complain making Ben come over and hug me.
