Upon seeing the person before him, Joseph’s face lit up with joy. He said, “Ms. Leach, what a coincidence! I didn’t expect to see you here after returning to the country. Do you also have business with GlobalVision Group?” 

Joseph glanced at Leo and Hugh, who were following behind Cherise. He said, “Morris treats you well, sending two of his most important people to you.” 

Cherise remained expressionless, though there was a hint of annoyance in her eyes as she glanced at Joseph’s right hand. She saw a mechanical hand. Not wanting any more interaction with Joseph, Cherise sidestepped to head into the elevator. 

As Cherise was about to pass by his left side, Joseph quickly reached out his left hand, trying to grab Cherise’s arm. He said, “Ms. Leach, I think we…” 

But before Joseph could finish his sentence, Cherise skillfully twisted his left hand and pinned it behind his back. Joseph let out a stifled cry of pain. 

Leo, Hugh, and Jason suddenly became alert, their eyes full of hostility. Together, they surrounded Joseph and his assistant. 

Joseph didn’t know where Cherise had pinned him, but the pain made sweat pour down his forehead. He smiled strangely and said, “Ms. Leach, your skills are truly impressive.” 

Standing nearby, Leo said angrily, “Mr. Joseph Chivers, Ms. Leach belongs to Mr. Morris Chivers, so you better not overstep. 

“Otherwise, if Mr. Morris Chivers finds out, knowing his ways, you’ll be in big trouble.” 

Jason also expressed his dissatisfaction, “Mr. Chivers, this is GlobalVision Group. Please be more mindful.” 

Joseph’s face showed no change as he glanced at Jason. Then he shifted his gaze to Leo and said, “Leo, you three are nothing more than Morris’s lackeys. Thinking you’re qualified to teach me a lesson is a real stretch.” 

When Joseph finished speaking, Cherise tightened her grip on his hand, making him cry in pain. 

Once Joseph was done yelling, Cherise spoke icily, “If you don’t want your left hand, I can help you with it.” Her eyes were full of malice. 

At that moment, Cherise made everyone there feel like they were seeing Morris; she was strong and just as ruthless. 

Joseph couldn’t handle Cherise’s relentless method any longer. Feeling pain, he spoke, “Ms. Leach, let me go first. Stirring up trouble at GlobalVision Group does no one any good.” 

Cherise didn’t seem ready to let go. A few moments later, she said, “Apologize to Leo and Hugh. To me, they’re like family to Morris and me. Apologize, or you can forget about taking your right hand with you today.” 

Leo and Hugh were touched to realize how much they meant to Cherise. Leo was already quick to tears and was doing his best to hold them back. 

Joseph hung his head, all his resentment and bitterness showing in his eyes. The next moment, he looked up, saying, “I’m sorry, Leo, Hugh. Don’t take it to heart.” 

His voice was quite loud, which made Leo and Hugh quite satisfied. Hearing this, Cherise pushed Joseph forward and let go. 

Joseph awkwardly straightened his clothes. He turned and glanced at Cherise and the others, then called to his assistant, “Let’s go!” He headed straight for the door without looking back. 

Seeing Joseph like that, Jason thought there was no need to walk Joseph out. Jason just stood there, glaring intensely at Joseph’s retreating figure.
