As the vehicle approached, the security team had already informed Lucas and Mary. 

Jagger was a person of great contribution to Clusia. They had been neighbors in the past, and their relationship remained strong, even though they hadn’t seen each other in over a decade 

At this moment, Lucas and Mary stood in the parking lot in front of the house, waiting. 

“Why did Mr. Walton suddenly decide to pay a visit? Is there something going on?” Mary asked, confused, turning to Lucas. 

Lucas looked ahead. “I’m not sure. It’s a time of peace, no wars to fight. He’s probably just here to catch up. We’re old friends. Maybe it’s just a casual visit.” 

“I see the car. It’s here,” Mary said, pointing toward the approaching vehicle. 

Lucas and Mary exchanged a glance and took another step forward. 

The nearby security guards were already prepared. As the car came to a complete stop, two guards, standing by the rear doors, opened them in unison with military precision. 

The first to step out was Stella, who politely greeted them. “Mr. Jarrett and Mrs. Jarrett, long time no see. Do you remember me? It’s Stella.” 

Mary’s eyes widened in surprise as she walked toward Stella. “Hey, it’s Stella! Weren’t you in Hesperia? You’re back! Oh my god, you 

haven’t changed at all. You’re still as young and beautiful as ever! Where’s your father? Didn’t he come with you?” As soon as she finished speaking, Jagger emerged from the car. “Lucas, Mary, I’m here. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen each other.” 

Lucas looked at him. “Mr. Walton, you’re still in such great shape, as expected from someone with a military background. Is this your first time visiting our home? Please, come inside. We have time for a couple of drinks today.” 

After all, they were old friends, and Jagger was a person of great honor. With his children holding important positions, Lucas and Mary made sure to observe proper etiquette. 

Once the four of them settled into the living room, the conversation began. 

“So, it sounds like Stella is staying here in Clusia for good now?” Mary asked, sitting beside Stella in a friendly manner. 

Stella nodded and softly replied, “I’m not leaving. I’ve already submitted my recommendation letter to the Translation Bureau. Whether I get in or not depends on luck. If I don’t, I’ll just rely on my dad.” 

Upon hearing this, the atmosphere in the room lightened, and the bond between the two families seemed to instantly go back to how it was about ten years ago. 

“You’re so talented and experienced. Anyone would be happy to have you. You’ll definitely get in” Mary said with a smile. 

Stella turned to Jagger. “Mr. Walton, your children are so successful and respectful. I’ve also heard that your granddaughter is also outstanding. Now that Stella is back, you get to have her by your side every day. That’s really something to be envious of.” 

Jagger waved his hand dismissively. “Stella’s great, but she’s still single. We’re very traditional, just want to see our children settle down and start families. She has a career, but no family yer

heart.” 

Stella wasn’t angry at being scolded in front of others. She remained poised and dignified, sitting gracefully, giving off the

Mary smiled playfully. “There’s nothing wrong with that. In this new era, successful women with money and careers don’t need a husband. They can be happy on their own. And what doc being 45 matter anyway? 

“Arthur is 56 and still single. I’ve never been troubled by it. I’m happy to see him dedicate his life to Clusia. Who cares? 

Jagger was puzzled by Mary’s response. “Arthur is 50 and hasn’t thought about marriage? I thought someone at his level. even if it’s not made public, would have a girlfriend or something” 

Lucas, ever the thoughtful one, although unsure of Jagger’s intentions, spoke up before Mary could say anything. “At his level, marriage doesn’t matter anymore. First, he has no time. Second, his heart is with his work. We can only support him. 

“The most important thing is for the people of Clusia to live peacefully. Love is just a fleeting thing, or maybe it’s something for when he steps down.”
