Chapter 102 

Mayra’s phone started ringing after they got out of the cab. When she saw the number flashing on her phone screen, her brows furrowed together. She had a premonition that picking up the call might not bring about a good thing. 

So, she waited until the call stopped ringing, pretended nothing ha followed Gordon into the courtyard. 

Then, the second call came. “Aren’t you picking it up?” Gordon asked.

With anxiety in her eyes, Mayra replied, “It’s a call from Andy. He must be calling to get me home, but I don’t want to.” 

Gordon patted her head. “Answer the call. He’s your brother, and he’s worried about you.” 

Pursing her lips, Mayra nodded. “Okay.” 

Seeing that the second call went unanswered, Anderson frowned and opened the door to his office. He set his phone aside and opened a document. “Shane.” 

“Yes, Mr. Barlow?” 

After reading the document, Anderson left a signature at the end. “Go to Paramount Hall and bring her back.” 

Shane nodded. “I got it.” 

Then, the cell phone at the side vibrated with an incoming call. That was Anderson’s private number, which only vibrated without ringing. 

Shane guessed the reason Anderson didn’t answer the call. “Maybe it’s a call. from Ms. Sadler. Aren’t you going to answer it, Mr. Barlow? Maybe she has something to tell you.” 

Anderson stopped working and picked up the phone. Mayra’s voice echoed from the other end of the line. “Andy, what’s up?” 

Checking the time on his watch, he said in a solemn tone, “It’s 5:30 pm now. Before 6:30 pm, I want to hear that you’re already home. Or else, I’ll deduct all your pocket money this month. Shane is going over to pick you up now.”

“It’s okay, I can go back by myself. Andy, I know that you’re busy, so dont bother yourself with me. Go ahead with your work. I’ll be home soon, Maya 

said. 

“You’d better do as I said,” Anderson warned. 

“By the way, what time are you going home tonight? 

The light in Anderson’s eyes wavered, “I have a social meeting this evening and will be back later than usual. What’s the matter?” 

“Nothing. I’m just asking.”

Before he could finish speaking, Mayra hung up the call impatiently and kept her phone away. Grinning, she trotted to Gordon’s side. “What are we having for dinner tonight, Gordon? I’ll cook you something.”
