Anderson came back 

He walked out of the elevator, emanating a merecere that filled the entire corridor. One of the buttons on his suit caller was missing 

Shane followed behind hi 

Anderson asked, “Where’s Mayra?” 

Ms. Sadler hasn’t left the hotel room since we returned 

Anderson’s gaze darkened. ‘She didn’t ask anything? 

*Ms. Sedler is very sensible. She didn’t ask anything about what happened in 

the entertainment club.” 

A strange emotion flickered within Anderson. 

Just when Mayra thought Anderson wouldn’t return that night, the main door opened, and steady footsteps treaded on the soft carpet. They created a dull 

sound. 

When Anderson stopped walking, Shane understood his intent and used the spare room card to unlock Mayra’s bedroom door. 

Entering the room, he heard the joyful laughter of a girl coming from inside. 

Anderson peeked through the gap in the door and saw Mayra lying on the bed and hugging a pillow with her face buried in it. 

He pushed the door open and asked, “What’s making you so happy? Tell me about it.” 

Mayra was startled. “Andy? You’re back?” 

Anderson stepped in, and Mayra climbed off the bed as her heart trembled. 

He picked up the book that was lying on the bed and asked, “Why are you so startled to see me? Have you done something bad?” 

“No… I haven’t!” Mayra was unsure if Anderson had noticed the phone on the bed which was still turned on. She quickly picked it up before he could notice it. 

“Andy why are you suddenly here? I thought you weren’t coming back.” 

Noticing the missing button on his black shirt, Mayra reached out and asked, ” Andy, what happened to this button? Do you still have it? Do you want me to 

help you sew it back on?” 

She remembered that there was a sewing kit in the room’s drawer which had 

everything she needed. 

She was just using this as an excuse to change the subject, but she didn’t expect him to take it seriously. 

Anderson opened his arms and said, “Help me take it off.” 

Instinctively Wayre reached out just as she used to do this for him before. In the past, it was a normal occurrence for Anderson to return with ripped clothes and blood on him. Waxe had gotten used to seeing him injured. 

However Anderson had never displayed his violence in front of her. 

As Maya’s inçers touched his suit jacket, Anderson lifted his hand. He didn’t grab her, and her ingerics slid cest his palm. 

Waya avoided his gaze and said, “Andy, maybe you shouldn’t change in my Moom. Go back to your room and change. I’ll sew it for you later.”
