"What's this?" Irene did not take it.

"This is the key to the bank's safe. There's some jewelry and gold bars inside. I'm handing them over to you today," Steven replied.

"Why are you giving this to me?" Irene thought that Steven was just here to denounce her, but surprisingly he was gifting her assets. However, why was he giving the key to her right now? He had been here a few times before, so why not then?

Steven just looked at Irene's resolute figure and sighed. Was he wrong? They were both his daughters, so what else was he supposed to do?

Edric ordered John to investigate the sperm bank in San Fetillo Hospital. Sure enough, he found traces of Marie there. Irene shook her head, "This is not the right time to talk about this. Eden is about to wake up from his afternoon nap. You should go!"

Edric sighed softly. Irene was still rejecting him. He also knew that this was not the time to force her. He had to go settle the matter that had come between them for so long.

He would never let those people go. They had tried to create misunderstandings between him and Irene to ruin their happiness! He would not let a single one of them off the hook!

Marie's heart ached upon seeing Lily badly beaten up. She regarded Lily as her own daughter. She had no idea that Deborah had already seen through her ploy and was outwitting her. She did not know that Lily was not her daughter, but instead her daughter was Rowane, who she had hired people to kill.

Marie was a malicious person. For her own interests, she would not hesitate to kill Myra, let alone Irene. After all, Irene had beaten Lily up. Marie left the hospital with her teeth clenched. She swore that she would take revenge on Irene.

Walking out of the Myers family home, Marie didn't feel the least bit soothed. On the contrary, she was even more upset. Things were no longer under her control now. She had to find a way to stop Irene from staying in San Fetillo if she wanted to secure Lily's future.

She had no way to control Irene. Fortunately, Irene still had Thomas by her side. Marie decided to go and find Thomas. She would persuade and threaten him again. Then, Thomas would eventually think of a way to get Irene to leave San Fetillo.

His car pulled up to the front of the house and he strode in. Margaret heard the sound of the door opening and turned towards him, "You're back?"

Edric walked over and asked bluntly, "Why was Marie here?"

"She was worried about my health, so she came to visit me and have a chat..."

"Worried about your health? Why is she being so kind?" Edric sneered, "It seems to me like she had other motives."

"She's my best friend, isn't it normal for her to care about me?"

"Don't hide it anymore. Marie must have told you that Lily was beaten up, right?" Edric smiled mockingly, "Apart from gossiping about nonsense, what evil scheme is she up to now?"

"What are you on about? Isn't she speaking the truth? It's true that Irene beat Lily up isn't it?" Margaret's temper was rising.
