Camren didn’t think Juliette looked like his sister at all.

Not only were her manners completely lacking, but her appearance didn’t match either.

Camren almost had the idea of just finding some random woman to fool them with.

The secretary was still reporting, saying, “She has a bad credit record. She once took out a 15 thousand dollars microloan and never paid it back. The lender has been trying to track her. Also, she had some dealings with Wally Johnson.”

“Wally Johnson?” Camren sounded surprised. “You mean Fisher Johnson’s younger brother?”

The assistant nodded. “Yes.”

Camren frowned. He knew this matter wasn’t simple, so he said, “Keep looking into it.”

The assistant replied, “Yes.”

Ever since the auction, Sariah and Johanna had admired Valerie and had finally managed to invite her out for a meal.

Kelly liked these two genuine women, and Valerie was an easygoing person too. The four of them quickly hit it off and discovered they had many things

in common.

After dinner, Sariah suggested they head to a bar. Kelly, having had a great time chatting, immediately agreed. But halfway there, she received a call from her boyfriend.

When Kelly saw that it was Angelo calling, she lit up like a child and quickly answered with a sweet, “Hello.”

Angelo’s tone was gentle. “Baby, have you eaten?”

Kelly replied, “I have.”

Angelo asked, “Where are you? I miss you.”

Kelly was overjoyed. “What do you want from me?”

Angelo said, “I just miss you and want to see you. Let me come pick you up.”

Kelly gave him the address and soon declared that she was ditching her girls.

Sariah complained, “Seriously? Ditching your friends for a guy?”

Johanna added, “Men aren’t worth it. You’d have more fun hanging out with us!”

But Kelly was already happily putting away her phone, grinning. “No way. My boyfriend rarely gets to come see me. I’m going to hang out with him! You girls go ahead, I’ll wait for my darling here!”

The girls were so overwhelmed by the cringe that they practically got goosebumps.

Valerie understood. When a girl fell in love, she tended to believe her man was the best. So she didn’t say much.

Kelly soon met up with Angelo.

He came by taxi and asked her to get in the car right away. He didn’t even get out to greet the others.

Sariah frowned. “Who does that? He doesn’t have any manners at all.”

Johanna said, “As long as she likes him, whatever. Let’s go have fun on our own.”

Valerie looked at Kelly’s back as she left and couldn’t shake a sense of unease. She sent a message: [Be safe.]

Kelly had argued with Angelo many times before, but she was always the one to make up first. This was the first time he had taken the initiative.

She was so happy. As soon as she got in the car and saw the boyfriend she missed so much, she threw herself into his arms and sweetly called, “Baby!”

Angelo held her and kissed her immediately.
