Logan was furious when he saw Mark.

“Why are you here?!” he asked.

Mark laid back on the couch with his legs crossed, looking relaxed and elegant. “Why can’t I be back?”

Logan looked at Mark like the man was the thorn in his heart, the sight alone hurt him.

Mark chuckled at Logan. “It has only been a week after you took over and look at all this mess that you’ve created. Logan, you are really stupid!”

“What did you say?!” Logan’s rage burned fiercely as the insult entered his ears.

“What? Did I say something wrong?”

“Shut up!” Logan wanted to jump on Mark.

“YOU SHUT UP!” It was then Justin shouted at Logan.

“Dad…” Logan froze. It was the first time ever that Justin told him to shut up because of Mark, the grievance in him was boiling high.

“How dare you speak another word?” Justin’s eyes were burning with rage as he glared at Logan.

The useless son almost gave him a heart attack.

Logan puckered his lips and clenched his fists, he wanted to argue but failed to find the correct words.

Eileen watched from a side and felt bad for her son, she too dared not interfere since Justin was really angry.

“How did this happen?” Justin asked.

“I don’t know. A friend told me about this project but I didn’t know it was a scam. Dad, I was cheated…” Logan said.

“Are you a pig? Where’s your common sense? Why are you so gullible?” Justin scolded him mercilessly.

Logan was speechless.

“If you can’t do it, don’t take the job. It has only been a week and the company is ruined!”

Justin continued the scolding, Logan was as quiet as still water.

It was Mark’s first time seeing his father so angry, especially towards his precious son.

He sat there for the show elegantly, as if he was not related to any of this.

“I’m telling you, you better come up with a wait to deal with this, otherwise I’ll…”

“Dad…”

“Sir, sir…” It was then Mr. Wilde, the butler, came over.

“The police are here, they are looking for the second young master!”

Both Logan and Justin were confused.

A group of uniformed officers then came in front of the entrance.

Logan frowned at the scene. “What’s going on here?”

“We are from the Western District Police Department, Logan Pattison is suspected to be involved in a fraud. We are here to bring him back for questioning.”

“Fraud?” Justin asked.

Then, the officers went up to Logan and arrested him.

“What fraud? What are you people doing? I didn’t do anything, I was deceived! Let go of me!”

“Mr. Pattison, please cooperate!”

“Let me go!” Logan continued to struggle, he had no idea of what happened.

Even Eileen bolted up and bellowed, “You must have the wrong person, my son will never do such a thing! Fraud? Impossible!”

“We will soon find out if it is a mistake or not.”

“Let go of me! Dad! Mom! Save me!”

“Wait! What is going on?” Justin said.

“According to reports, Mr. Pattison has been selling fake antiques in an auction and we are bringing him in for questioning.”

“Fake antiques?” Justin looked at Logan in shock.

“No, I didn’t do anything! No!” Logan shook his head, his face was as pale as paper.

Justin could not stand back anymore. “There must be a misunderstanding!”

“We will soon find out about it.”

The police officers then brought Logan away.

“Dad, mom, I didn’t do it! Save me! Save me!”

Both Justin and Eileen watched helplessly as the police officers took Logan away.

The reporters were camping outside their house, and when they saw the police officers arresting Logan, the situation went out of control.

Eileen looked at Justin. “What now? What should we do? Do something!”

Justin looked as sour as he could get. “I’ll give Director Gordon a call.”

He then left the living room to make the call.

Eileen was left stunned on the spot. Her heart was pounding when Logan was taken away. She turned around and looked at Mark.

He was still sitting on the couch with his legs crossed as if he was an outsider watching a show, but it seemed like he was having thoughts in his mind.

Eileen clenched her fists when she noticed the nonchalance on his face.

Mark welcomed her stare with his own.

“Don’t let me find out that you are involved in this, or else…” Eileen warned him.

Mark smiled and did not take it seriously.

……

Back at the office, the already worsening situation exacerbated further. The news about Logan being taken away became the hottest topic from top to bottom.

Everyone was worried that the company would go bankrupt, they were worried that they might lose their jobs. Everyone missed Mark in a desperate situation like this.

If Mark was still the CEO, this mess would not even happen.

Deep down in everyone’s heart, they acknowledged Mark’s capabilities more than Logan.

When they saw the video of Logan being arrested, Lily asked Lyla, “What do you think about this?”

She grinned at the thought of it.

Then, Arden stood up. He grabbed his coat and wanted to walk out of the office.

“Where are you going?”

“I have my own business to attend to, I don’t need to tell you everything,” Arden said.

He grinned at her. “You don’t have the right to know everything about me.”

He then left, leaving Kathleen alone in the office.

The woman clenched her fists tightly behind the man.

She swore she would make everyone regret doing this to her!

……

Arden drove his car to MK Corporation.

It was rush hour at the office.

He parked his car in front of the company’s entrance and stared at the employees who were leaving.

His appearance attracted much attention but his attention was fixed on a single person.

Lyla and Lily walked out. The two of them were joking along the way and showed no signs of worries as if they knew they would get to keep their jobs.

Arden got out of the car when he saw her. “Lyla.”

Surprised, Lyla turned around and saw Arden. She frowned and smiled. “Senior!”

Lily was smart enough to say, “I’ll see you tomorrow, Lyla.”

Lyla nodded. Lily gave her a wink and left.

Lyla then walked to Arden. “Senior, why are you here?”

“I’m here to pick you up. Dinner?” Arden asked.

It had been a while since he saw her, she did not expect him to come to the office during rush hour.

A quick thought later, she nodded.

Arden smiled. As a gentleman, he opened the door for Lyla before he got back into the driver seat and drove off.

The duo soon arrived at a restaurant. They sat down and ordered dinner.

Arden kept quiet along the way and Lyla found it weird.

“Senior, I suppose you didn’t just come to my office to ask me out for dinner?”

Arden then looked at her, it reminded him of the twins and Mark.

He must have tremendous patience to hold back those negative feelings in front of her.

He shook his head. “It’s nothing in particular. I left in a hurry during our last meeting, so I’m making it up to you with dinner this time.”

“You are being too kind, senior. It’s nothing actually, you don’t have to make it up to me,” Lyla said with a smile.

Arden looked at her and her smile, his heart was as heavy as a rock.
