Chapter 87 

The reason Norman wanted to meet with his “parents” was to buy clothes. 

Nadia initially thought it was an outlandish request, but when she heard the reason, she realized it was something simple she could easily fulfill. 

Although Mick’s two million hadn’t been transferred yet, Eddie had already given her several 

million in cash. 

“Ms. Vega, my clothes are too expensive. I want to buy some regular ones.” 

After a pause, Norman seemed to think his request wasn’t clear enough, so he explained 

further. 

“I mean, something that costs around two or three hundred each.” 

Nadia finally took a good look at Norman’s outfit 

“Ms. Vega, is it okay? I don’t want to stand out. Otherwise, the other kids might not want to play with me.” 

It turned out that, at first, Norman had been very happy at the kindergarten. He made a lot of new friends and even received praise from his teachers. 

But after a few days of being picked up, many of the other kids started avoiding him. Norman didn’t understand why and asked one of the little boys. 

The boy told him that his mom had said that Norman’s clothes cost nearly 1,000 per set, and they were so rare that if they were damaged, no one could replace them. 

Upon hearing this, Norman had likened himself to a porcelain doll. 

He was a man, proud and strong–how could he be treated like fragile porcelain, carefully placed in a safe spot? 

So, he insisted on seeing Nadia, knowing that she was easier to talk to and more understanding compared to Eddie. 

“It’s no big deal,” Nadia said, playfully tapping his nose and laughing softly. “I’ve got lots of experience with this.” 

Having raised Ted for so many years, she knew exactly which stores sold soft, durable clothes. and which shoes were the most comfortable. 

“Yay!” 

Norman jumped around her excitedly. “Let’s go!” 

“Okay. I’ll take you to a budget–friendly mall.” 

“You’re the best, Ms. Vega!” 

“Wow. You’re full of compliments today–what’s gotten into you? Too much sugar?” 

“Nope, no candy! I just like you a lot, Ms. Vega!” 

Nadia couldn’t help but laugh again. She couldn’t resist picking him up and spinning him around. 

“You’re so adorable. How can anyone resist you? 

“That’s because you’re the kind of person who attracts people like me. It’s all because you’re so great, Ms. Vega!” 

Nadia’s heart bloomed with joy from the praise. Her mood, which had been disturbed by Mick earlier, brightened completely.
