I started boldly clinging to him, asking him to accompany me while I wrote papers, while I got scolded by my tutor.

When I got tired, I leaned on his shoulder and closed my eyes for a nap.

I always woke up to find him carrying me back to the bed.

One day, I woke up to find the house empty, with only the cleaner and me left. It felt so lonely.

I bought dolls and little decorations and spent the whole day moving them from the living room to the bedroom.

Once I tidied up, the house became much warmer.

Like a home.

I waited for Lucas to come back. When he saw the transformed house, he froze.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and coquettishly said, “Isn’t it cozy?”

“Childish.”

“It’s not childish. Come on, answer me. Isn’t it cozy?”

He lifted me by the waist and pinched me, “Raising you is like raising a daughter. Call me daddy and see.”

I kissed him. “No.”

He pinched my face. “Be obedient.”

“I won’t… Ah, what are you doing!”

Lucas didn’t acknowledge my decorating style, so I got a little angry.

I didn’t hug him; I hugged my doll and fell asleep.

When I woke up, Lucas was holding me from behind, and my doll was gone.

I looked around and found it thrown in the trash bin, very close to me, but I couldn’t reach it.

The phone on the side lit up, and the message was from the debtors.

The repayment date for this month was approaching again.

I came to my senses.

The next day, Lucas threw away everything I had bought.

He frowned. “Why did you change it back?”

I bit a biscuit. “I’m not used to it. Let’s keep it the way it was.”

Seeing me hugging the cushion, he asked, “Did you throw away the dolls you bought?”

I casually replied, “The house collapsed. I don’t like them anymore.”

Lucas rubbed my head. “Then let’s buy something else.”

I didn’t want to buy anything anymore.

The dolls didn’t want to be thrown into the trash.

In my senior year, Lucas helped me revise my resume and sent it out. I wasn’t a 92 graduate, and due to family changes in my third year, my grades weren’t ideal. Fortunately, I managed to land a job at a good company.

The atmosphere at the company was great.
