Annie has been too preoccupied with the whole incident that was going on for her to really care about the main reason why she had traveled down to the country.
Once Alexander had gone back to his room and his minions were busy with only God knows what, Annie used the opportunity to call the gangs that she had ordered to kill Jim, and fortunately, they had carried out the operation with no fail.
She sighed heavily with relief. Although she knew this whole blackmailing thing was gone since the owner of the playhouse was still on the ran, what has happened to Jim would obviously have scared him off, and he might not have the guy come after her again, and even if he was going to do so, it wouldn’t be now considering what has happened to Jim.

Mrs. Walker was now one hundred percent sure that something bad happened to her daughter, even though Brandon and nurse Kelly tried to assure her that everything was fine, but it was now obvious that Emma wasn’t doing so great.
But then, just as she was about to burn the whole house down in exchange for any information about her daughter, Brandon walked in and explained everything that has happened to her.
Mrs. Walker almost went into cardiac arrest if not for the help of nurse Kelly, who had rushed in to help her.
And as Mrs. Walker was getting the color back to her face, Ethan walked in with tears rolling down his cheeks. Unbeknownst to Brandon, Ethan had been in the next room, and he had heard the miserable thing that had happened to their mother.
His voice quivered as he began to speak, his gaze fixed on Brandon the whole time. “What did you say happened to my mom?”
Brandon rose to his feet and walked up to Ethan, trying to console him, but Ethan wasn’t ready to listen to anything they had to say. For the past few days, their mom has been on the sick bed, and neither he nor his twin sister had any idea. His cries became louder.
“I can explain to you…” Brandon began to say softly.
