"What else do you want me to say? You're my father. The man that I love with my being. My first love. And yet, you're not fighting. A stranger comes three weeks and you decide that it's time for me to leave. You didn't even protect me. You never put up a fight for me. You can't even look at me because you don't care. Please dad, fight for me."
"I can't do it. You mamma is due any moment from now and I don't want her to go under stress." Chris wiped away his tears. "What else can I do?"
"You fight for me. That's all I'm asking. Fight for me Dad. Please, for the sake of you love. I just need my dad to fight for me."
"I'm sorry but I can't."
And with those words, Prince's little heart broke into a million pieces. His father didn't give a fight. All he had to say to him was that he couldn't. He couldn't fight for his flesh and blood. Fight for him despite his age.
What does a almost eight year old boy do at that moment? What?
"Say something son." He head his dad plead to him but he couldn't construct a word. "Please son. I love you. I really do that's why I want the best for you. Remember that you can always come to visit. Each weekend."
But the only thing that was playing in his mind was his father saying he couldn't.
"Are you guess done?"
The woman he had come to know as his real mother stepped into the room. Prince walked to the bed and finished zipping up his suitcase. Once done his mother came over and took it from him and he followed her behind.
Guess it's time he walked out of the house that he wasn't needed anymore. His purpose had been served and it was time to be rid of. Once they got to the sitting, Maya sat there crying her eyes out. But that couldn't fool Prince, he knew she was happy that he was leaving. What kinda step mother loves a step son anyway?
Wasn't that why she didn't fight for him? She didn't even protect her own son. No, he wasn't her son and that's why it was too easy to let go.
Maya got up to walk to her son. Yes, Prince was her son despite what the DNA said and she loved him as much as she loved her own kids. He was her son and she had big dreams for him. She loved that kid and she so wanted to kill Kimberly for this. She sure as hell hated the woman. It's like she always knew how to take away the men in her life. First Chris and now her own son. But she won't let that happen, not under her watch.
"Prince is going...." She stopped when she heard a sharp contraction. She had been having them for the past one week but this time was different. "Aah..."
"Kitten, what's wrong?" Chris asked stepping towards her. "Oh my God! You're in labour. Call the driver. Just breath Maya."
A gang of mafia killers were lurking in an alley to attack their main enemy.
"Stay connected guys," a dark silhouette of a man with snipers and other weapons spoke through his earpiece. The silhouette of the guy was 5'10 feet and he wore a trench coat with a hat. He kept on instructing his men through the ear piece.
"Keep an eye on his every move," he said through the earpiece again while wiping the sweat formed on his forehead by rubbing it on the jacket, on his shoulder.
"Let's hunt him down," he whispered to his other men, connected to him.
Taking a deep breath he was waiting for him. Lucifer King. The reason for him to sweat even in this cold weather, his ragged heartbeat, also the shivers in his nerves.
Who was he?
