Caroline finally turned around and left with Anna, heading to the laboratory.

“Mr. Boris will investigate. Once the truth comes out, we’ll be cleared,” Anna said reassuringly. 

Caroline’s lips curled into a bitter smile. “I’m just worried that even if they find out who did it, nothing will happen to that person.” 

Andrew was under Richard’s protection and carried Ellison blood. Caroline, on the other hand, was an outsider–just the Ellison daughter–in–law. 

And for something like this, what could we really do to Andrew? 

She would have no choice but to swallow this bitter pill. 

At the Vice President’s office, Boris poured a cup of tea for David. “Here, calm down a bit.” 

David waved it away. 

“How about some coffee? Plain water? Tea, maybe?” 

David’s expression was cold and dark. “What about Caroline makes her worth your help?” 

“I didn’t help her,” Boris replied. “I treat every employee fairly, openly, and justly.” 

David glanced at the cup of tea, then at Boris. He looked like he was considering dumping the tea on Boris’s 

face.

“Andrew.” 

David’s response was immediate, showing he had suspected it all along. 

“Exactly. I think it’s him too,” Boris nodded. “This stunt has already shaken everyone’s confidence in Caroz’s launch. While it hasn’t caused financial losses yet, what about next time? Or the time after that? Who knows what kind of trouble Andrew might stir up? He needs a lesson to keep him in line.” 

David spoke lazily. “I’ve already taken care of it.” 

“Oh, that was quick!” 

“Did you think I’d waste time like you, dragging me here to babble endlessly?” 

David stood, his suit jacket falling into place with effortless elegance, exuding his usual aristocratic air. Without another word, he strode toward the door.
