Stephanie Bishop tried to stop it, but no dice.

Maddie Palmer was knocked down cold. One can just imagine the power behind that punch.

Stephanie shrieked and rushed over to help Maddie, asking, "Oh my god, Maddie, are you okay?"

Maddie had taken a hit to the face and was feeling a bit woozy. "I'm fine." she responded.

"Putnam Damon, you hit a girl!"

The two guys who were fighting froze because of this incident.

Putnam was embarrassed. "I didn't see her coming. I'm sorry, does it hurt? Want me to take you to the hospital?"

Maddie shook her head quickly, "No, it doesn't hurt. Putnam, don't blame President Ingram. I won't make you take responsibility. I won't pester you anymore."

Putnam gave Sebastian Ingram a cold stare, "This has nothing to do with you."

"No. President Ingram just asked me to take you back to your room. It was you who got drunk and couldn't control yourself. I didn't refuse. That's why this happened."

Putnam didn't know how to respond. He took a deep breath, "We'll talk about this later. Let me take you home first. We'll get some medicine on the way. You can apply it when you get home."

"Okay, but my bag is still in the room."

"I'll get it." Putnam, with a scowl on his face, headed back to the room.

He was fuming. He actually lost to Sebastian. They used to be evenly matched. Guess Sebastian had been training on the sly.

Sebastian, the bastard, screwed him over and didn't even let him vent.

Back in the room, Putnam searched the bed for a while but didn't find Maddie's bag. He did, however, spot a smear of blood on the sheets.

Feeling a twinge between his brows, he rubbed his forehead with a complicated look in his eyes.
