Surviving My Obsessive Ex novel Chapter 23

Read Surviving My Obsessive Ex Chapter 23 - the best manga of 2020

Of the Chingis Vitali stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is Surviving My Obsessive Ex. The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 23. Let's read the author's Surviving My Obsessive Ex Chingis Vitali story right here.

The rural courtyard was quiet, and when Margaret stepped out of the car, her grandmother saw her holding a cane, her eyes empty and lifeless. Tears immediately filled the old woman’s face.

“My Margaret, how did you become blind? You were always so afraid of the dark when you were little. How can you bear such suffering? I wish I could have taken your blindness for you...” the grandmother cried.

Hearing her grandmother’s sobs, Margaret’s eyes immediately reddened, and her throat tightened with a wave of unshed tears.

“Grandmother, I’m so scared... W-William...” she choked, her body trembling as the grief washed over her.

The two of them embraced and cried for a while.

William stood nearby, his heart aching as though it were being squeezed by an invisible hand. He knew Margaret had always been afraid of the dark, and he knew she couldn’t sleep without a light. But ever since Margaret had lost her sight, he hadn’t given this fact much thought.

A sense of guilt flickered in William's dark eyes as he stepped closer to support both the grandmother and Margaret. In a soft voice, he reassured, “Grandmother, please don’t cry. I spoke to Margaret’s ophthalmologist yesterday, and she’ll be able to have a corneal transplant surgery next month. She’ll be able to see again.”

Margaret froze slightly at the mention of next month.

Next month?

A cold smile flashed through her mind. By then, she wouldn’t need it.

The three of them entered the house.

The grandmother now lived alone. At her old age, she could barely move, and the house was poor and modest. Dinner was simple, with little more than some plain tea and rice.

William had never experienced such a lifestyle, and a glance at the table made his appetite disappear.

Margaret, on the other hand, ate a small portion, and the grandmother kept adding a bit of the meager meat to her bowl, her eyes full of sorrow and affection.

As she looked at Margaret, tears once again welled up.

William gently reassured, “Grandmother, Margaret will get better, please don’t cry.”

The old woman stifled her tears, lowered her head, and continued eating quietly. “I won’t cry, I won’t…”

William felt a sudden unease in his chest, as though something bad was about to happen. He subconsciously looked at Margaret.

Margaret couldn’t see him, but she sensed his gaze. “Are you staring at me? Did I get food all over my face?” she asked.

William snapped back to reality and smiled. “No, you’re fine.”

After dinner, the grandmother cleared the dishes and went to the kitchen.
