Leo was in the classroom when he heard some noise outside. He immediately went to check it out. He saw Mia and Jade, both holding lunches and drinks, speaking harshly about the girl from yesterday.

Leo went over and helped them carry some stuff. "What's up with you two?" He asked.

Jade pointed at the classroom and said, "Leo, go in first."

Leo was a bit taken aback by their behavior. Mia gave him a stern look and barked, "Get back in."

A bit scared, Leo went back to the classroom with his lunch.

The girl was crying, still holding the medicine. "I'm worried about Leo. He got beaten up because of me."

Jade couldn't stand the unfamiliar woman's sobbing in front of her and was getting impatient.

"I warned you yesterday. If Leo's beating has anything to do with you, I won't let you off. Did you come here because you were afraid I couldn't find you?" Jade said.

Mia calmly asked, "Why did you use Leo?"

"I didn't use him." The girl replied.

"Alright then, let me ask you. What disease does your grandfather have?" Mia probed.

"Cancer." The girl replied.

Mia asked, "What type of cancer? What's it called? Which hospital is he in? How much is the surgery? If your family is really in trouble, I'll help you out immediately. But if I find out you're using Leo, I won't let you off! As a student of Z University, you should know what kind of person I am."

The girl didn't answer.

Jade looked at her for a while and said, "Why aren't you speaking? Speak up!"

"My grandfather... he's been discharged." The girl answered.

"That's alright. I can check his hospital records." Jade said.

The girl stopped crying. She avoided their gazes, too afraid to face them.

Mia said, "Did you spend your loan on luxury goods?"

Jade said, "After knowing Leo's family is affluent, you were tempted, weren't you?"

The girl bit her lip, looking as if she was bullied by them, "I didn't."

Mia said, "Then dare you prove your innocence? If we misunderstood you, I'll help you pay off the loan shark. But if you dare lie and I find out you have ulterior motives in approaching Leo, I will kick you out of here."

Mia's husband gave her a lot of power. If she was unhappy, she could easily make people leave. Last night, her husband even told her a lot, "This school is yours. You only need to do what you want to do. You can let whoever you want go. If you're uncomfortable, there's no point in me buying this school."

Mia felt a bit guilty last night, about her husband teaching her to do bad things. Then, Andre said, "I spent money and effort just to make you happy. If you're not happy, there's no point in me doing all this."

Mia felt that her husband made sense.

Andre said again, "Before our marriage, your father gave you freedom. After our marriage, I give you unlimited confidence. You just need to do what you want to do, and I'll take the consequences for you."

Mia was moved. "Remember what you said. If I do something bad, you have to protect me. Even if I'm unreasonable, you have to protect me."

Andre nodded.

......

The girl who came to deliver the medicine heard Mia's words. She knew her status and didn't dare to offend Mia. She wanted to leave with the medicine.

Jade crossed her arms and blocked her way.

Leo made a vomiting gesture, "Jade, please stop."

Mia looked at him sympathetically. Jade also felt this kid was pitiful for running into a woman with ill motives.

"I'm never going to meddle in this kind of thing again." Leo was traumatized.

Mia handed him a glass of water to calm his upset stomach.

"Next time you look for a girlfriend, listen to my advice." Mia said.

"And mine." Jade said.

Leo thought women were really complicated, and it was women who understood themselves the most.

He only had a brief conversation with that girl and knew nothing, but these two women saw through the girl's true colors. He was shivering while eating his meal, "What did you do to that girl?"

Mia paused while eating and said, "Let her go."

Jade responded, "We chased her away."

After school, Andre came to pick up his wife and Leo personally. This time, his gaze on Jade seemed different, filled with an excitement he couldn't hide. He was about to pat Jade's head, but his wrist was firmly grabbed by Chad, "Mr. Cedillo, your wife is right beside you. It might be better if you keep some distance from my sister."

Andre clenched his fist, "Officer Chad, it's not even sure whose sister she is."

Chad kept a tight grip on Andre's wrist, "Mr. Cedillo, you gotta watch your mouth." He started to get a bit antsy.

Andre chuckled, "Officer Chad, you know damn well if I'm talking nonsense or not."

He was too busy arguing with Chad to notice his wife beside him, her eyebrows furrowed in concern.
