Chapter 208 novel Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Jade's pupils narrowed, "And then what?"

"He might be reminded of his lost sister every time he sees you, so he treats you as well as he would treat his own sister."

The room fell silent.

Jade shook her head, trying to shake off the memory of the bloody boy in her mind. She didn't want to hear her own sobbing voice crying "Brother, save me" again.

Mia asked, "What are you thinking about?"

Jade replied, "Nothing." She picked up her clothes and prepared to go to the bathroom to change.

Mia held a set of Jade's underwear and asked, "Jade, don't tell me Chad got these from your wardrobe?"

Jade snatched the underwear and matching panties, "My mom picked them out for me, is there a problem?"

When she came out after changing, Leo was also quietly standing next to Andre. "Jade, how are you doing?"

Jade jumped twice towards everyone, "I'm fine now, can we go home?"

Everyone agreed.

So, before the party was over, the two guardians left with the three of them.

In the car, Andre wanted to know more, "Leo, can you tell me more about Pete and Carl?"

"Oh, Carl is a follower of Pete's family, he's always sucking up to them. Pete is a bad guy, he likes Jade, but can't win her over. He once got beaten up by Mia, but because the Irvin family and his own are equally powerful, Pete's family didn't bother Mia..."

"Did Mia hit anyone today?"

Mia in the passenger seat defended herself, "I didn't hit anyone."

Only a husband would know his wife, "Didn't you throw them into the pool?"

Mia lied, "They slipped and fell in."

"Really?" Andre asked.

Mia nodded firmly, "Yes." Anyway, she didn't remember hitting anyone. If her husband found out she had been violent again, she would firmly deny it. Or, she could find an excuse to shirk.

"Leo, did Mia..."

"I don't know. I was drunk. I don't remember anything." Leo immediately cleared himself of any responsibility.

Mia was very satisfied with Leo's reaction in the back seat. Andre snorted, he had told his wife not to fight, but she just couldn't remember.

On the other hand, Chad was walking with Jade on the road, "Why aren't you talking?"

Usually Jade talked so much on the road that Chad wanted to kick her, but today she was unusually quiet. It was like falling into the water once had made her dull.

Jade scratched her ear. "Nothing to say."

While waiting for the traffic light, Chad looked at the deeply troubled Jade.

"Chad, I have a question. Why is there a scar on my arm?"

Chad's hand on the steering wheel tightened, "You bit yourself."

"Why would I bite myself?"

"Maybe it was some stupid thing you did when you were a kid."

They arrived at Evergreen Haven.

Jade found that there was no one at home, not even the servants. "Where are my parents? Where are my grandparents? Where's my nanny?"

"They're not home, is there a problem?"

"Then, I..." Could it be that the clothes she was wearing were really found by Chad in the wardrobe? Oh my god! If that was the case, Jade would rather be struck by lightning.

"How about this, dear, we take turns drinking, you take a sip, I take a sip, then you take another sip, okay?"

At the negotiation table, no one could beat him. Mia seemed a bit overconfident.

Leo watched the two negotiators. He and his grandfather made a private bet to see who would win in the end.

Hansen whispered in his grandson's ear, "I think Mia has no advantage over Andre."

Leo whispered back, "Then you're underestimating her abilities."

Andre threatened: "It's getting late, don't make me force you."

Mia took a sip of the soup and immediately frowned. It was too disgusting. "Even if you force me, I won't drink it, it's too disgusting."

Hansen looked at Mia's expression, "Is it really that disgusting?"

Leo saw his grandfather's curious expression and said, "No, she's just pretending, grandpa, you can taste it."

Then, the very curious Hansen also got a bowl.

Mia was surprised, "Hansen, why would you want to drink this?"

Hansen said, "I want to taste it."

He barely took a sip, and immediately spat it out on the ground. Then he grabbed his cane and started chasing his grandson.

The two disappeared from the restaurant, leaving only the couple behind.

Mia looked at the soup in front of her with some annoyance, and Andre could tell that his wife really didn't want to drink it. He sat next to her, picked up her bowl, took a sip, and tasted it.

Sure enough, it didn't taste good.

Mia turned her head, her bright eyes filled with pleading. "Honey, can I not drink this? I feel like I'm okay."
