What was going on? Things were happening too fast. She was speechless. She didn't agree to any of this and she certainly didn't agree to marry him. It made her angry to think that he could just speak of something to everyone without her permission.

All the while, she stayed in her seat, seething. Even when the cheers echoed around her in applause. Even when the laughter faded. She felt someone nudging her. She turned her head towards Edward and saw his grin.

It made her confused. How could any of this make her happy when all she felt is the sickening feeling storming in the pit of her stomach?

"Are you alright?" Edward said as he looked at her.

No, she wasn't alright, she wanted to say. None of this was alright. Instead, she shook her head and stood up, keeping her head lowered, avoiding many gazes. "Excuse me," she murmured.

Stepping out of her seat, she walked away, dragging many suspicious gazes after me. She quickly ran upstairs and straight down the hallway. Thank God, she remembered the way to his room. She opened the doors and quickly locked it behind her.

She was so angry that she could feel her cheeks getting hot. So angry that she couldn't do anything but burst into tears. She tried to fight it. The evidence of feminine weakness. She jumped in surprise just when a loud bang sounded on the doors.

"Open the door," he growled behind the wooden doors.

She felt shivers, hearing the anger beneath his voice. Why was he angry? She was the one who should be angry at him!

"Open this door! Now!"

She didn't. Instead, she ran towards the bathroom, and like the little girl she was, she hid there. Why couldn't she leave her alone? Why couldn't he just let her go? It was frustrating.

She walked towards the counter and saw herself in the mirror. She felt like a terrible mess, honestly. Her cheeks were burning and her eyes looked watery. She buried her face in her hands and groaned inwardly.

How could she ever escape from here?
