He nodded his head towards the man. Their eyes seemed to know what each other was thinking. Confused, she looked back and forth between them. The man nodded his head and went out of the room.
She looked up as dark obsidian eyes gazed into hers. He grabbed her bum all of a sudden and lifted her off the table. Her legs instantly wrapped around his hips and her arms clung onto him.
She looked around and realized they were in his office. Alone.
He stepped around the table and sat down on an office chair behind it. She found herself straddling him. What was he doing? She was speechless. Blushing slightly, she looked down but he lifted her chin with one hand.
Like the black sea, his dark eyes drowned her in. It left her breathless. He caressed her red cheek with his thumb. Strands of chocolate brown hair fell around her face. He tucked them behind her ear and gazed deeply into her eyes.
"Do you know who I am?" his deep voice rumbled.
His question surprised her yet again. He was telling her to stay earlier and now he was sitting behind his desk with her on his lap and he wanted to talk?
Great.
Maybe her teasing changed his mood. Maybe she shouldn't have called him daddy.
"Jason Bourne?" she asked. Since the man from earlier called him Alpha Bourne, she was starting to think he had some kind of a Bourne Legacy.
The corner of his lips lifted up and butterflies swallowed her tummy. "Call me Draco, baby doll."
She giggled. "I rather call you daddy," she joked, "since you act like you are."
His eyes darkened. "Don't make promises. You'll be screaming my name soon."
Her eyes widened. What exactly did he mean by that? Not accepting any response from her, he wrapped his strong arms around her and pulled her towards him.
She laid her head on his shoulder and he kissed her head, smelling in her scent. He constantly played with her hair and traced random patterns on her back. She tried to relax herself in his embrace as she took a deep breath.
He smelled so good. She felt his heartbeat thumping beneath her chest as he heaved.
"Why did you take me?" she finally asked, breaking the silence between them. She felt his breathing increase.
"You're in danger and I have to protect you," he stated firmly, his chest vibrating.
"I'm not in danger," she protested. "For all we know, that man who tried to take me away is a lunatic."
"You don't understand." He sighed and it was as if there was something he knew she would never understand. "You could've been kidnapped. You could've died. I won't let anyone take you away. You're mine. You don't have to concern yourself with anything else."
As she tried to take in his words, she felt her blood boiling. She was his? His? Unbelievable.
Who would say that to someone they didn't know? She pulled back suddenly and glared at him, her anger radiating between them.
"What do you want from me?" she demanded.
"I want you."
He couldn't be serious. She tried to take herself off his lap but she guessed he was just too strong for her. "Let me go."
He only pulled her closer. "Don't even try to run away from me, baby doll."
She touched his strong arms in protest, trying to remove them from her. She didn't want him to touch her. She knew what he wanted and she knew how much he found her attractive but she wasn't going to give in.
"I'm not going to be your sex slave just because you saved me," she blurted out, looking him straight in the eye.
"You're not my slave," he stated seriously.
"Still, I don't want to have sex with you."
It wasn't just the feeling of fear towards him. It was the fear of doing something she hadn't done with anyone else. They said it hurt at first but sex was something she wanted to deal with only after marriage.
With someone she wanted. Someone she loved. Not someone she barely knew.
"I know," he replied, as if he knew all her secrets. He touched her face and revealed the side of her neck by putting her hair aside. Slowly, he leaned in and she felt him kissing her neck softly, his lips lingering on her skin.
"So innocent, baby doll," he murmured huskily. "I have so much to teach you."
