"I forgot to ask how'd your meeting with Mark Mortaga go?"

"Not good. He wants me to have more kids until he gets the Caputo girl that was promised to them,"

I frowned.

"Did you tell him giving the baby's heart disorder I wasn't having anymore?"

"I did tell him we weren't having more. It's none of his business about our son's condition,"

"So, what happens now?" I ask. Curious.

"Mark won't give up that easy,"

"But that changes nothing. I won't have another child. Mark will understand if you tell him the reasons,"

"You don't Know Mark," Xander tells me.

"What do you mean?"

"Mark will try and find a way around the contract, not that there is one. But he will try,"

I shake my head.

"Why would he do that?"

Xander stops with the paper he was reading over and rests his elbows on the table.

"The Mortaga kingdom has the strongest warriors. But the Caputo kingdom is stronger. Long story short, Once a Caputo female marries a Mortaga, our kingdoms will be combined, and Mark thinks he will have more power and nothing could touch his kingdom,"

I nod my head.

"Because everyone fears the Caputo kingdom?"

Xander nods.

"Now get back to work,"

I smile and nod my head.

Xander and I worked most of the day, and he had lunch brought to us so we could eat while we finished filing papers and making the new budget.
