Chapter 3

Lilith Point of View

My alarm blared in my silent room and I groaned in my sleep. I would have screamed my lungs out for waking me up this early, had it not been my first day of college.

After motionlessly laying on my bed for five minutes I got up and decided to get ready or else I would definitely be late for my first day of college. “Wake up, Kiddo.” I heard James’s yelling from his room.

“I’m up, James,” I shouted back and made my way into the bathroom.

Since I had a lot of time to spare, I took a long relaxing shower and washed myself nicely. I then wrapped the light blue towel around myself and moved to the small vanity to brush my teeth. Once done, I made my way to the heap of paper bags that contains my new clothes and grabbed the one laying on top. It had a mustard color summer dress which reached just above my knees.

I wore the dress and loved it; it didn’t show any cleavage and was of the perfect length. I then blow-dried my light caramel hair and decided to tie them in a half-bun. I was tying the long straps of the brown flats when I heard James calling me, “Lilith, you need to hurry. You are going to get late otherwise.”

I walked out of my room with the light grey college bag on my right shoulder and instead of replying to James, knocked on his room's door. ‘I’m leaving, James.” I informed him and walked out of the cottage to the nearby bus stand.

The bus arrived a few seconds later and took us farther out of the city. Unlike other colleges, Wulfric College is located far from the city and is surrounded by woods. According to the interview published three years ago, the Director of Wulfric College said, it’s easy to carry out education away from the hustle of the city. Apart from that, Wulfric itself is like a mini-city with every facility available, which is true.

The college is not far from James' place, it’s a thirty-minute ride and the best part is, the bus drops you right in front of the college. Since there was still a lot of time before we reach, I took out my earphones and plugged them before playing some of my favorite songs.

If there is something that just speaks to me, it’s music. I have always had this connection with music, that’s just not explainable but it’s special and very close to my heart. As the lyrics flowed in my ears, my eyes took in the greenery that covered the sides of the road. There were tall trees all around and it almost felt like a hunting tour instead of my way to college.

My eyes read the red signs that read ‘Danger’ and I knew; the woods might be fascinating but I would like to maintain my distance from them. Soon, the beautiful view morphed into a magnificent campus and that was none other than Wulfric College.

The College emblem was the head of a wolf looking up and was encircled in a black circle. The logo was fantastically done as you could notice the tiniest details in the wolf. I got down from the bus and made my way towards the entrance gate, where I was asked for my admission letter before the guard gave me a map and told me the location of the administration office on the map.
