"What are you doing here?" I ask.
"Some lobby work," He nods towards some papers on the desk, "Need to document some transactions and upload them online," He explains.
"Do you need some help?" I ask as he walks back to his desk. I have learned a lot of things while putting this place in order.
"No," He answers before I continue to ask, "How long would it take?"
"I am almost done," He says nodding towards the small computer in the corner of the office. "I'll wait," I said. He smiles at me before pulling me on his lap.
"You need to concentrate," I tell him when he abandons his work. He chuckles before muttering lowly in my ear, "I am,"
"You need to concentrate on your work," I speak sternly this time and he sighs before he continues to work on the computer.
Meanwhile, one of his arms is wrapped around my waist. I am staring at the computer screen in front of us. He'd once in a while nudge his nose against my neck and I'd shiver at the intensity of the sparks.
"When will you come next?" I ask when I see him clearing the tabs. He soon shuts down the computer while I arrange the papers and hand over to him to put them away.
"Next month maybe. I'd have to vote for the next President of the council," He answers while running his nose along my neck. I am sitting completely still, enjoying what he is doing as well as slowly getting turned on.
"Can we leave now?" I interrupt him when it was getting too much for me. He grumbles before he taking his arm off my waist. He stands up after I leave his lap. I watch him shut the place before he slips his hand into mine and leads me to the parking lot.
"Cybele!" A familiar voice calls out for me before I could get into the car.
"Not today!" Jake frowns before he pushes me into the car. He closes the door after me. It is when he moves, I get to see Davis and Brooke approaching us. He shoots them a mean look before he gets into the car.
"That's not fair! We want to make friends with her too," It's Brooke who shouts after him. Meanwhile, someone knocks on the window next to me. It's his brother, Davis giving me a flirtatious look. I instantly cringe reminiscing my time with him in the library.
"Not today, guys. I won't let you spoil this," Jake shakes his head at them as he starts the engine.
"Why? We want to get to know her too!" Davis speaks, eyeing me curiously. At this point, I want to urge Jake to take me home as soon as possible. I don't want to be anywhere near his brother. This is not the right time to test my sanity.
"You heard me, Dave," Jake yells before he is driving us out of the parking lot and speeding away from the campus.
"What were they doing here?" I ask curiously, feeling somewhat relieved that his brother is not outside the window and looking at me with plans to taunt me with his lame jokes.
"I want to take you to the pack," His statement instantly makes me anxious.
"What is it like there?" I want to have a rough idea of what to expect there. I could have asked Lisa about it but there are only so many questions she could answer.
"It's amazing. You'll like it," He assures me, giving my hand a squeeze again, "We have a small event this weekend. Would you like to come? You'd have to stay over though," He adds, glancing at me to see my reaction.
"What is it about?" I inquire.
"It's more or less like camping. The younger wolves participate in it mostly. It will be fun... would you like to come?" He asks me expectantly.
"Er... I am not sure. I'd have to submit assigmne-"
"Please... we'll spend so much time together," He tries to persuade me, "I promise you'd like it," He is looking at me expectantly while I am almost conflicted. I have so much work to get done. I don't know if I could afford to spend the weekend at his place.
"Please..." He requests again. I am very much tempted to say yes. It would be such a good opportunity to get an insight into his life and his family.
"If you let me work in the weekdays then I'd have enough time to go," I tell him and his face instantly brightens up. He instantly leans towards me before stealing away a kiss. Meanwhile, I am a mess... as always.
