-HER-

I feel tired as soon as I am at home. Tonight doesn't seem to be very eventful. It's just plain and dull. The dinner passes in a blur before I find myself going to my bedroom. I remind myself to check my phone before I go to bed.

His messages are already flooding my inbox as soon as I unlock my phone. I talk to him before falling asleep. The night only seems to pass by in a blink before it's morning and I have to drag myself to college. I feel like a zombie while going to college.

Lisa is already there. I didn't have to guess. I know instantly that Sid has dropped her here this morning. She looks fresh and happy. Her skin is glowing, there are no bags under her eyes and her hair looks soft and voluminous. She looks well put together. Is this one of the effects of having a werewolf mate? My mind is already buzzing with questions to ask her.

Although we don't get a free class, unlike yesterday. We have to talk between the classes. She tries her best to answer my most bizarre and awkward questions with a straight face as if she does this every day. She already sounds very normalized with the idea of having a werewolf mate but I notice that she is happy. Definitely a lot happy.

"So, how is his wolf like?" I ask between classes, "Have you see him?"

She nods slightly before answering, "They are more primal and possessive. They could be a bit demanding sometimes but it's just they couldn't control it. It's part of the mating bond. I used to be overwhelmed by it at first but now I love it," She always has a shyness while she answers my questions. I had never seen this part of her. She is generally a bold person but seems like Sid did a number on her.

"Have you seen him... change into his...?" I don't have to complete the question for her to understand what I mean. We are also trying our best to talk as lowly as possible. We definitely don't want anyone else hearing us.

"Yes..." She trails off, staring at the board in the front of the class, "As I told you before, I was overwhelmed and shocked but it soon goes away," She nods lightly. I try my best to register her words in my brain. I'd be needing them later.

The class soon ends. Lisa leaves with Sid soon. Though this time, Sid takes some moments to talk to me. I notice how he has grown more respectful towards me as if I am someone superior to him. There's a formality in his tone and behaviour. I hate it instantly but I don't get enough time to address this to him.

Today, I go home by myself. Everything is very mundane there. At night I talk to him before falling asleep. Things continue like this throughout Friday.

Dad raises a bit of objection when I tell him about my possible absence on the weekend. Though with a bit of convincing from mother and Agatha, I am let off without being asked too many questions. Lisa is missing from the classes today. I have to sit alone but thankfully today, we have only two classes.

"It's tomorrow. The preparations are almost done," He mutters the last part most to himself. I notice that he is driving to Itaville instead. "I've got some things to buy for the pack," He informs me even before I ask. I settle back in my seat, realizing that this drive is going to be a long one. Although I don't mind it because he's with me. Time seems to pass quickly when I am with him.

We talk and listen to some music while our way to the city. Jake drives to a big hardware shop where he purchases some ropes and other things that are mostly used in camping and trekking. After keeping all those things away in the back of his car, he drives further into the city.

"Since we're here let's get something to eat. It'd take us several hours to reach the pack," He declares and I find myself agreeing with him. We end up getting pizzas to eat while driving.

"I am so happy to finally take you home," He mutters lowly in my ear when we are getting into the car with the pizzas. I look over my shoulder to find his heated gaze on me. My stomach dips before blood rushes to my cheeks.

It's his words which has my heart racing. My mind has already taken upon itself to conjure lusty thoughts. Before I could blush even more, I tell him, "I cannot wait to see your pack,"

The heat from his eyes drops instantly but not before looking at me hungrily. As he drives, I bombard him with questions about his pack and he answers every single one of them. I am more and more intrigued as the distance lessened between me and his pack.
