Although I was still tightly pressed against Nathan, there was nothing that would calm down my nerves.

My breathing became laboured just thinking about the possibility that Silas might die. Instantly I looked at the crowd and when I found who I was looking for some of my worries ceased.

Milena did not look scared or worried, she looked angry and confident. She trusted my brother, so should I. Our eyes briefly locked and I could feel that Milena was relieved to see me, but also tense because of the upcoming fight.

"Breath Sophia, nothing will happen to Silas.", Nathan whispered into my ear and I felt myself relax into his arms.

"How can you be sure?"

"Just look at Hector, he's barely able to stand."

The way he adressed my father not as such, but as Hector made a small smile appear on my lips, because Nathan really did not see me as his daughter.

I then concentrated on father and the way he barely seemed to be able to put a foot in front of the other when he met Silas in the middle of the circle the pack members of the Mercy and the Crescent Moon pack had formed.

I then met the fearful look of my mother and realized that for the first time she was worried about the outcome of her mate's fight. I had never seen my mother this anxious, she had always been a proud and confident woman, trusting her mate and his abilities blindly. However, right now she appeared like a shadow of her former self.

"Let the fight begin.", Levin suddenly shouted and my eyes were instantly locked on Silas and our father.

While our father instantly shifted, I stared wide eyed at Silas who had stayed in his human form. Although father had to have been in a lot of pain, he still managed to shift and this scared me more than I wanted to admit.

Father was the first to attack, but Silas was quick to defend himself and shifted mid jump into his glorious black wolf. I had no idea if Silas had planned this, but if so it had the desired effect, because the whole crowd was in awe of his wolf and the powerful move he had just pulled.

The fight had now officially started and everyone could clearly see that Silas was superior to my father. With every wound he caused father I felt my posture more and more relax.

Although I had a hard time watching someone get hurt, even if it was my sadistic father, there was also a part of me that enjoyed his misery. Finally he knew how it felt like.
