The Deadly Alpha novel Chapter 21

Normal people would act very happy when they receive baby news but to me, it was the worst. I was going to die with a curse and pass it along with my daughter/son, I couldn't do that. I was stuck in dead ends, it was horrible how I had to say goodbye to my mate than to the baby that was still inside of me for one week.

Tears gushed as the lady grew confused at my very sad reaction. She looked at the doctor as he shrugged, pretending not to know anything.

"Are those tears of happiness?" I nodded at her question as she hugged me.

"I know you can push through, you are a very tough Luna." If only that lady knew how much I had gone through and the fact that I will die because of that God-forsaken curse the Moon Goddess put in me.

"I hope so." I whispered as she encouraged me with a bright smile and she even volunteered to teach me how to raise babies, I cried harder at the fact that I couldn't bring her into this world, I wiped my eyes furiously as the lady patted my shoulder and thought it was because I had no experience.

"Come on, let's walk you to the mansion." The doctor advised and I agreed, I was exhausted and I had to go back to my mate. It was getting late, almost eleven pm and my stomach were bitter from the new pregnancy. It was going to be hard to hide from the Alpha since the fetus would grow rapidly, more than a human.

I whimpered as my wolf nagged at me for a run but I simply couldn't because I had swollen sore feet to rest since these events took a toll on me. I decided to tell the Alpha without mentioning the curse, I wanted to see him happy with this good news.

Laying my two sore feet on the pillow as I laid down was pure heaven, it pained me too much to walk and turned to my side of the bed, closing my eyes into a deep slumber.

The morning sun shone through the window to my face in an interrupted sleep, my eyelids fluttered and took in the fresh breeze along with the soft glow of the sun, the white room was spacey and a pair of arms embraced around my waist.

It took me a second to notice but the small bump was getting bigger and faster, but the sight of my mate's arms around my small bump brought a smile to my face.

He was going to be a great father. Lace said and I nodded. I turned around to see his face, his eyelashes touched his cheeks and his ruffled hair was pushed back as he breathed in and out with full lips. I loved him so much, I had no choice. I hugged him as he woke up, my red silk gown without a bra on flush against his naked chest.

"Good morning, aren't you eager to me?" He rubbed his eyes with a small smirk. I chuckled and realized that we slept till 12 pm from exhaustion.
