Chapter 1012 Did I Say Anything About Giving Up 

Time sped by, and the sunlight in the L1 Mystic Realm continued to push forward. 

The dark, damp expanse of the Dark Woods slowly began to reveal its true form.

As Alexander’s words fell, every elite member of the Star Troopers had expressions filled with shock and disbelief. 

Under the glaring sunlight, they saw for the first time the terrifying, monstrous beasts from the Dark Woods–beasts that were as legendary as they were dreadful. 

They were colossal, each beast towering at least 30 feet tall! 

Their claws were the size of an off–road vehicle. 

Before entering the LI Mystic Realm, they had some understanding of the wild beasts on the spatial island. 

These beasts were unlike the ones from Earth, which had evolved over millions of years. They hadn’t gone through the same evolutionary process, and their strength and size hadn’t diminished.

Instead, they were ancient, primal of a time before civilization

Their power was comparable to the destructive energy of a 

of a super 

missile. 

Standing just 150 feet away from the Star Troopers, these enormous, menacing creatures resembled towering mountains, pressing down on the elites of the Star Troopers, making it hard for them to breathe.. 

This was the first time they’d been this close to such colossal creatures–and there were over a thousand of them. 

The sight before them felt like something out of a sci–fi blockbuster. 

Luckily, the beasts remained frozen in place like statues, motionless. That allowed the Star Troopers to regain some composure. 

If these beasts charged, the couple hundred Star Troopers would be no more than ants before them. 

Robin studied the vicious creatures across from them, realizing that they were merely testing the intentions of the Star Troopers. 

It seemed that the beasts were already having second thoughts. 

However, they weren’t fully convinced of these uninvited guests at their doorstep.

These intelligent beasts had sensed the escalating conflict between the Star Troopers and Shadow Castle. 

They were waiting to see if the Star Troopers posed any danger before retreating back into the Dark Woods to observe from a distance. 

Pierre took a deep breath. “Commander–in–chief Ramsey, we’re surrounded. 

“If we end up in a standoff with Shadow Castle’s guards, and these beasts suddenly attack us from behind … that would be a real mess. 

“With the Star Troopers‘ current strength, we wouldn’t even be able to handle one of Shadow Castle’s gate guard teams. 

“Add in the assault from these beasts, and we’re in deep trouble.” 

The eight elite members of the Poison Poppy Special Forces immediately looked displeased. “Captain Pierre, are you saying we’re not going to save the Poison Poppy Queen?” 

Pierre spread his hands helplessly. “I’m just voicing my opinion. Commander–in–chief Ramsey hasn’t given his orders yet. This isn’t our final decision.” 

Simmond nodded. “Shadow Castle is armed to the teeth with highly destructive weapons. 

“Their most basic defensive weapons are on par with the best Earth has to offer. 

“The military research effort of Thalrex Order’s Advanced Science Department has gone on for over a century, developing a range of superweapons designed to combat extraterrestrial threats. 

“These weapons are made to take on the most powerful alien enemies. The stuff we’re using here is essentially a joke by comparison. 

“Don’t even think about bargaining with the realm master. Even dealing with these primal beasts, we’d be powerless.” 

“What do we do now?” Reynold shook his head in frustration. 

“Are we just supposed to wait here to die? Is Mona destined to be killed by them? 

“Commander–in–chief Ramsey, are you giving up on rescuing Queen Mona?” 

The elite members of the Poison Poppy Special Forces took a step forward, their eyes full of anger and anticipation. “If you’ve already given up … 

“Did I say anything about giving up on the rescue?” Robin snorted coldly. “Shut up, all of you!” 

Gavin stepped forward and quietly said, “Commander–in–chief Ramsey, Catherine’s top–secret code.”

Robin glanced at Gavin, his face growing serious. “Spit it out.”

“Maverick was captured by the realm master’s shadow guards while searching for the Mystic Realm superweapon activation button. 

“After Catherine finished her report, she had no choice but to cut off all electronic communications and go into hiding within Shadow Castle, waiting for your orders. 

“The coded message says she’ll open the transmission every five minutes to make contact with 

us.” 

Robin glanced over at the distant Shadow Castle, his mind racing as he tried to devise a strategy to navigate the dangerous situation unfolding before them. 

If they could not quickly find a way to counter Garth, the realm master of the Mystic Realm, the Star Troopers would be left in a highly vulnerable position–and possibly face complete annihilation. 

The superweapon in Garth’s hands was far too powerful, capable of destroying the entire Earth in the blink of an eye. 

But surely, the Military Command Center of the Thalrex Order had also anticipated the possibility. 

If Garth got control of these superweapons, it could lead to a catastrophic loss of control. 

At that point, the most advanced weapons designed by the world’s top experts to protect Earth would be in the hands of a traitor, essentially digging their own grave. 

It was likely they had a contingency plan for this. 

The best–case scenario would be if, somewhere within this Mystic Realm of space on the isolated island, there was a higher–level weapon system hidden in advance. 

The reason they had sent Freya on an expedition was to find this secret forbidden zone. 

Robin was certain that the Thalrex Order had such a backup plan. 

But as of now, there was no news from the intelligence team led by Freya.
