“Mr. and Mrs. Clem, please, take a seat and relax,” Robin said kindly, helping Ambrose and Dahlia to their feet and guiding them to sit comfortably. 

“Mr. Ramsey, 20 years ago, a noble from Draconia entrusted us with something important,” Ambrose began, his voice filled with the weight of past memories 

“This noble came to our house the night before he left Qacalisle Island. He asked us to hold on to an item of great importance for him.” 

Ambrose and Dahlia both turned to Kelsey and Luella, bowing respectfully. “Ms. Luella, Ms. Pierpoint, please excuse us for a moment, we need to speak with Mr. Ramsey in private. 

“The noble specifically instructed us that no one should know about this–not even my daughter, Elodie.” 

Robin nodded, signaling to Kelsey and Luella to leave and motioning for the guards to ensure no one approached during their conversation. 

Once the room was clear, Ambrose carefully pulled out a small, oval bronze box from his coat pocket. 

“Mr. Ramsey,” Ambrose said, his hands shaking slightly as he held the box, “the noble gave us this box the -night before his departure. He told us it contained the Emberleaf Fan. 

“He asked us to keep it safe and promised that, when the time was right, he would return for it. 

“And if he couldn’t come himself, someone else would come in his place. 

“This person would be wearing an emerald pendant engraved with the words ‘Golden Dragon. We were told to hand the box over to him. 

“We’ve been waiting for 20 years…”

Ambrose’s voice faltered as he continued, “At that time, Sadie took the emerald pendant from Elodie, unaware that we had a second box with the Emberleaf Fan inside. 

“The noble had told me that this box was even more critical than the fan, so I kept it safe, waiting for the day when he–or the person meant to claim it–would come for it. 

“But no one ever did. 

“Years went by, and I thought I’d never see the person who was supposed to take the box. 

“Whenever someone from your country visited the island, I tried to approach them, hoping for a clue. I asked many times about the noble, but no one knew anything. 

“Then, one day at Sadie’s house, I saw the emerald pendant you wear, Mr. Ramsey. 

“It had the same ‘Golden Dragon‘ engraving. 

“Right then, it all clicked. I remembered exactly what the noble had told me. 

“I asked Kelsey to help me contact you.

Robin took the pendant from around his neck and handed it to Ambrose. The elderly man’s hands trembled as he held it, his face overcome with emotion 

“Mr. Ramsey, you’re the one I’ve been waiting for! 

“From the moment you arrived on Qacalisle Island, helping us rid ourselves of the people who killed my daughter, and doing so much good for the island, I knew you were the one who was meant to come for this box. 

“And there’s something else, even more important–you look so much like that noble from Draconia. 

“I don’t ask too many questions, but I believe you must be connected to him in some way.” 

“By giving this box to you, I’m finally fulfilling the promise I made 20 years ago. 

“Mr. Ramsey, both the Emberleaf Fan and this box belong to you. You know as well as I do that keeping the fan here would bring nothing but trouble.” 

Robin took the box from Ambrose, contemplating for a moment. He had planned to return the fan to them, but they insisted he keep it. 

“Mr. Ramsey, now that Kelsey is in charge, the corrupt aristocrats who once oppressed us have been removed by Ms. Luella. Our lives are improving, and we no longer need wealth the way we once did. 

“Please, take the Emberleaf Fan.” 

After a brief pause, Robin accepted the fan. He knew Ambrose was right–leaving these items in their possession could only lead to disaster. 

Later that evening, after dinner with Ambrose, Dahlia, Luella, and Kelsey, Robin returned to Duskhaven Hotel. 

As soon as he stepped into the lobby, a woman’s furious scream echoed through the space behind him. 

“You’ve got some nerve, following me here! 

“Stop right there! What happened at the Island Restaurant isn’t over. Apologize to me right now, or I’ll make sure you regret it!” 

Robin stopped in his tracks. 

It’s Simone, that lunatic. 

Robin glanced at Simone, who was standing in his way, fuming with fury, and smirked coldly. “Step aside.” 

“Step aside?” Simone let out a sharp, mocking laugh. “This isn’t the Island Restaurant, where you have people backing you up. 

“You followed me here, and now you’re out of luck!” 

Robin’s smile grew colder. “Are you sure about that?” 

Simone looked at him with contemnt, her gaze sweeping over him as she scorned his annearance. “You

Robin’s face turned icy. “Did that old fool Kennard put you up to this?” 

Simone scoffed. “They say ignorance is bliss. Today, I get to see the kind of trash who has no idea how the world works, acting like this toward my father. Do you have any clue about my father’s level, not just in Draconia, but globally? 

“Let me tell you, you wouldn’t even begin to understand. Enough talking. Apologize now!” 

Robin’s voice grew even colder. “Fine, let your father come and talk to me.”
