Trent got up to leave, but his friends

Soon after the car pulled away, I felt a phone in my coat pocket. It was Trent’s.

I frowned and told the driver to turn

around.

The car stopped outside the bar, and I saw Vanessa getting out of a cab. She checked her makeup, and walked in
