He said, and I turned around to hiss at him.

"Are you going to tell me when I can see MY MATE?"

Simon shook his head.

"I didn't mean it like that. But you have to remember, that she's not one of us, she's human, and you would scare her behaving like this. Let her get to know you, before you show her how weird you are."

He laughs and that calms me dawn.

Then I heard it, her giggling, I couldn't hide a smile, even the sound of her makes me happy. I walked in the direction of the sound, and found her at the library, sitting at a table with a lot of books in front of her. She was wearing a green summer dress the exact same color as her eyes, her hair was like yesterday in a braided hairstyle, and she looked so beautiful, that I was transfixed. Then she moved, and I noticed that she was with another guy. My wolf got pissed and I let out a growl, but before I could get there, Simon grabbed me by my arm and got in front of me.

"Mathew, stop it! Retain! Get back! You will only frighten her more. Don't do anything stupid. The boy with her is Gavin. Apparently, he used to live in the same town as her before he moved here, and they are only friends, so stop this and relax."

I growl and hissed at him.

"I don't care if he is her best friend, he is still a guy, and I will not have him near MY mate. She is MINE and he has no right to be near her."

I must have yelled the last part 'cause everybody was staring at us. I looked back at Clarina, she looked at us with puzzled and curious eyes, and when our eyes met, she immediately looked away, only to look at that Gavin dude again.

This made me growl once more, but before I could make a move, a girl jumped up on my back out of nowhere. I looked over my shoulder and saw Steffanie. Steffanie is a member of our pack and one of the girls I occasionally play around with. Well you guessed it, I'm a bit of a player. I mean, why not accept what is being offered to me? That I'm the future Alpha of our pack attracts many she-wolves, and human girls get attracted to my looks and my bad boy attitude, so I always have a lot of admirers. Normally, I would laugh at such situation, a girl jumping up on my back with legs and arms wrapped around me. But not now. The fact that Steffanie is behaving this way in front of my mate, repels me. With an irritated sound I pushed Steffanie off of me, but this made her laugh and walk towards me with exaggerated wriggling movements. But before she could touch me once again, I pushed her once more, apparently with great force as she landed directly on her butt on the floor.

At first she looked at me with surprise, but then she smiled, and said, "Well you will have it tough today, we can do that-"She started, but I interrupted her, sick of her irritating voice.

"Steffanie stop it, I'm not interested in anything you have to offer. I have found my mate."

Steffanie screamed.

"Fuck you! You are nothing but an annoying obstacle. And I WILL be Luna of our pack, I have always been Matthews's favorite girl, and there is nothing that will change that. As soon as he gets tired of his new 'mate', he will come back to me."

She said before she turned on her heels and left the library. I looked at Simon with surprise in my eyes but he just shrugged his shoulders, and said, "She always has been a prima Donna and thinks she owns everything."

I nodded, I knew he was right, but I have never cared, because she didn't matter to me that much. I looked back at the table where my mate was sitting. She and her 'friend' Gavin, were, like everybody else in the library, looking at us. But when I looked at them, Gavin got up, and with a hand on Clarina's wrist they exited the library. I growled and took a step towards them, but I was stopped by a lot of hands. I looked at my surroundings, and there were, in addition to Simon, four other friends of mine who held me back. They must have come during the 'discussion' with Steffanie.

"Let go of me, I need to get my mate, "I sharpened. But Simon shook his head.

"No Mathew, it's not a good idea to follow them now. Your feelings are showing, and it's clearly visible in your eyes that your wolf is struggling to get out. You have to get control on yourself. I know that you have found your mate, and that she is a human, but you can't just chase after her and do what comes naturally to you, you will scare her."
