I looked at him. I knew he was right, but to see another guy disappear with my mate was not something my wolf liked.

-You cannot let that Gavin guy take away our mate. She belongs to US, not that bastard. We just have to get her, then we can make her fall in love with us, it's not safe for her to be around these guys at the school, they don't know that she is ours.-

At my wolf's statement, I let out a growl. My wolf was right. Most of the students and teachers were werewolves, who I could control, but there were still a lot of human among us, and I could not allow anyone of the humans to take my mate. I had to make it clear that she was mine. But what I had seen in my mate so far, she would probably be the hardest to convince of the fact that she belonged to me. I smiled and turned to face Simon.

"We're having a party on Friday. The whole school is invited. Be sure to invite Clarina and make sure she comes."

With that order I left the library, knowing what I have to do.

Clarina's P.O.V

It was now Friday, which meant that soon I would be completing an entire week at my new school. I missed my friends from my old school. I had always been shy and reserved, which meant that I had never been good at making new friends. Back at my old school, I had two friends, Julie and Antonia, and we had been friends since preschool and were therefore very close. So when my mother told me that we would be moving to the city where her husband Benjamin lived, I was not exactly excited; not because I had anything against Benjamin, on the contrary, I was glad that my mother had found a man who was so clearly fond of her and would protect her. I grew up with a violent and drunk father who died when I was 8. Not a big loss for my mother or me, but the years we had lived with him had made us afraid and uncertain of strangers, but when Benjamin came in the picture three years after that, things took a turn for the better, and only when my mom was ensured that I was comfortable in his company, did she agree to move in with him. Benjamin was a perfect stepfather and did everything to make mum and me happy. Sometimes he went a little overboard with regards to being overprotective towards us, but he did it out of love so we resigned ourselves to it.

But I had still hated the idea of moving 15 miles to a new city, new school and new people and that too in the middle of the school year. My personality did not exactly help me make new friends the first day of school, and it was only when Benjamin told me that we were moving to the same city as Gavin and his family had moved to 3 years ago that I started to get a bit exited. Gavin, Antonia, Julie and I were best friends. The four of us did everything together, and when Galvin moved I felt like an important part of me was gone. Even though we still talked on the phone, it was not the same.

But knowing that there would be a familiar face in my new city made the move a little easier, but I still had butterflies in my stomach the first day I walked into the school. but before I had got myself up to be a nervous wreck, Gavin had come running up the hall and given me a whirl, I had immediately forgotten all about my worries of starting a new school and the attention I would receive because of it, and just gave Gavin a happy hug back. He showed me around the school and after every class, he waited for me outside my class, so he could show me to my next classroom. That I didn't have to locate my classes made it easier to get through the day.

My last hour was science. After introducing myself to the teacher I sat down at the designated place. As soon as I sat, my side companion smiled at me.

"Hey, you're the new girl. It's Clarina, correct?"

"If you are done entertaining the whole class Simon, let's get started. Today, I want you to work in groups, and make a project about the various chapters of the book .You have a week to complete the project, and I do not care if you're doing it here at school or home, but it must be made so you can present it Tuesday, next week."

Simon grinned before he put his arm around my shoulder.

"The timing could not fit more perfectly. It's today we have to do this project, and I just got a new buddy. What do you say we go to my house and look at the project? I assure you, you are safe, I live in a huge house with a lot of other people, so if I take any liberties, all you have to do is scream, and immediately they will all come running. You never have a moment of peace in that house," he said with a twinkle in his eye, which made it clear that he loved his family and wouldn't change anything about his housing situation. He made me laugh again, and I got up.

"It's fine with me, we can go at your house, I am sure that you will conduct yourself as a gentleman."
