He muttered, still with his head buried in my hair. Slowly I lifted my head so I could look at him before I shook my head.
"None of this is your fault. It's not your fault that people are deranged, and think that they can do as they please, to get what they want. I'm just glad that no one died because I wasn't careful enough and was taken prisoner."
I said resentfully, but Matthew shook his head.
"It's not your fault kitten, how would you know that there was someone who would take you to get what they wanted."
He said softly as he caressed my back. He stared into my eyes and I saw how they slowly changed color, and felt that he tightened his grip even more around me before he whispered.
"Kitten, I know that we have a lot to talk about... But please let me kiss you? I have to make sure you're okay."
He muttered before he put a hand on my chin and gently pull me toward him, giving me plenty time to pull away if I wanted to, but I closed my eyes and our mouths touched each other. The kiss started gently and carefully, but quickly turned to be fiercely and demanding, but I didn't mind, I was just as keen to get close to Matthew as he seemed to want to be at me. I felt Matthews hands wander under my shirt, and I did nothing to prevent it, on the contrary, I lifted my upper body slightly so he gently could caress my chest. I heard someone clear their throat, and felt how Matthew stiffened and pulled me closer to him, as if to protect me. When I opened my eyes I stared straight down into the Matthews/Mathieu's black eyes, and knew that it required a great effort for him not to take me here and now, but then his gaze moved from me and over my shoulder, and only then I remembered that there had been another with him, and that Emily was still here, and sure enough, I heard her giggle a little in the background, before there was a deep male voice with laughter said.
"I am sorry if I disturb you, but I'm sure that your pack will be happy if you came home soon, they will all probably want to ensure that their future Alpha and his mate are safe. But you may want us to tell them to wait a few hours, so you can enjoy your mate?"
I saw Matthew squinting in irritation, but I could not help but smile and bury my face in Matthew's shoulder, by Ronald comment. There was completely quiet some time before I noticed Matthews chest rumble before he started laughing, before he slowly loosened his grip on me, and stood up, still with me in his arms before he smiled at Ronald.
"Although I really want you to pass on the last message, you're right that we have to show we are alive and safe."
He smiled before he put his arm around my life and pulled me closer to his side. I saw Emily staring questioningly at Ronald, and remembered that they didn't know each other. I smiled at them.
"Ronald, this is Emily, Matthew's sister and her best friend, Emily this is Ronald, he helped us escape."
------------
We finally reached back to the pack house, I was tiered, and I could feel that the last few days without sleep was catching up with me, and I was just looking forward to get into bed and sleep to the next day. As we approached the front door it went open, and Simon came running out, I felt Ronald stiffen beside me, but before I could think about it came Simon and swung me up into his arms.
"Clarina, I'm so glad you finally are back, and you're all right?"
He smiled and looked at me before he kissed me on the cheek. I felt a pair of hands on my hips and I was pulled away from Simon's grip, and I heard Matthew's voice.
"If you don't mind letting go of my mate, I and Clarina will go and say hello to the rest of the pack, and thank them for their help, before we hit the sack and catch up some sleep."
