Ophelia and Stephen were classmates, recognized by everyone as the perfect match. So, when my roommate found out I had a crush on Stephen, she only said, "Rosalie, guys like him don't go for ordinary girls like us."

Compared to Ophelia, I was more than just ordinary. No stunning looks, no remarkable talent. We were like people from two different worlds. But once feelings take root, they only grow wildly.

I knew Stephen confessed to me because Ophelia announced her relationship, and I understood his proposal was because Ophelia got married. Maybe, I tried to convince myself, maybe there really was nothing between him and Ophelia, and it was just a coincidence that they were photographed together. I smiled and responded, , "Sure!"
