Following the message, I went to Central Park. Just a short distance from the main entrance, Ophelia sat alone on a bench.

Her face was pale, her frail body hunched over, her hair disheveled, and her eyes bloodshot. How had the once-vibrant actress fallen into such a state?

When she saw me, she gave a weak smile, gesturing for me to sit beside her.

"Rosalie, I regret it," she said, her voice hoarse and barely audible.

"At the time, I didn't marry lan out of spite —it was because he was an award-winning actor, and he promised he'd make me famous."

"But after the wedding, whenever things didn't go his way, he'd beat me, and the bruises couldn't be covered. We're not actually divorced - he won't let me go," she continued, her eyes blankly fixed on a distant spot.

"Do you know why I came to Stephen? Because I hated you. You had everything I wanted, especially Theodore's love."

Ophelia liked Theodore. I had been reading behind the tree the day she confessed to him. But how did she know Theodore had feelings for me?

"Why did you have to take even Stephen away from me?"

"I never intended to compete with you for anything... except for Theodore. I won't let him go."

With that, I stood up to leave. She didn't stop me, only whispered a plea:

"Rosalie, please... help me!"
