Ahead of them was a ledge, its height daunting at over ten meters, resembling a three–story building.

Such a climb would deter most, but for Maren, it posed little challenge.

She had undertaken far riskier tasks, such as a time she had scaled a ten–story structure to execute a high- value target.

Morris remained anxiously perched in a tree, fretting over Maren. He debated descending to check on her but hesitated, worried he might interfere. Thus, he stayed put.
