Of the Internet stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is The Mafia Heiress's Comeback: She's More Than You Think. The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 278. Let's read the author's The Mafia Heiress's Comeback: She's More Than You Think Internet story right here.
Chapter 278 The Onyx
“That’s ridiculous. You’re just trying to weasel out of it,” Fred snapped, voice tight with frustration.
Laughter exploded around the crowd, and even Lucien couldn’t help himself.
Only now did they catch on–Maren’s last jab had been aimed straight at Colt,
By that stretch, she had just crowned herself the hero who wiped out the bad guy.
“That’s ridiculous! I don’t care what Colt said he never did anything! How can you lump him in with criminals?”
Boyd protested.
“Well then, that makes me even more heroic.” Maren tilted her head, eyes dancing with mischief.
“What are you talking about?” Boyd was puzzled.
“Let me break it down. Most heroes show up too late. Someone’s already hurt, and they catch the killer after the damage is done. But me? I stopped the crime before it happened. Doesn’t that make me better than your average hero?”
Maren’s words struck hard. Boyd and Fred stood frozen, mouths partly open, while the surrounding students
burst into fresh waves of laughter.
“You’re twisting everything!” Fred snapped, face flushed.
“Oh? So you think we should just sit around and wait for someone to get hurt before we act?” Maren asked,
one brow raised.
“Of course not!” they shot back in unison, too proud to admit otherwise.
“Then tell me, what part of my reasoning is wrong? I shut Colt down before he even had the chance to act. If anything, I saved your family’s name from getting dragged through the dirt with his. So really, shouldn’t you be thanking me?”
Each word landed like a punch, and the father and son edged back as if dodging real blows.
“What a master of clever rhetoric!”
They were both seething, the anger bubbling up inside them with nowhere to go. What stung more was Lucien, standing off to the side as if none of this had anything to do with him. With no one left on their side, the idea of avenging Colt felt like a lost cause.
“Let’s just go.” Sticking around would only make them look worse. Without another word, the two turned and walked off, bitter and silent, already plotting their next move against Maren.
“Wait!” Maren’s voice stopped them cold after just a few steps.
“What now?” Fred and Boyd snapped, their eyes seething with anger.

Chapter 27 The Ox
A soft chuckle escaped Maren’s lips “Colt disrespected me Shouldn’t you be compensating me for the emotional damage
“That’s extortion“” Boyd shouted, his frustration boiling over f
Killing Colt hadn’t been enough–now she wanted their money too
“You don’t have to pay, but I’m afraid you won’t be learing here so easilyday, Maren said calmly
The tension was thick, her voice a warning wrapped in civility
“You” Boyd started, his fury rising
“Boyd, don’t be rash Fred intervened just in time to stop Boyd from losing his temper
Fred pointed to Colt, lifeless on the ground, and the security guards who were still twitching after being incapacitated. That was enough to silence Boyd
“How much do you want?” Fred asked, knowing Lucien would never take their side.
They were stunned to realize the reinforcement they had called in was actually on Maren’s side.
“Not much, just all of your family’s assets,” Maren replied lightly.
“You’re insane!” Fred and Boyd exploded, their anger surging.
Greed–pure greed. She was trying to swallow the entire Davidson family whole.
“You don’t have to agree, but it might be wise to tread carefully in Voutsas from now on. You wouldn’t want to run into a crisis, would you?”
Maren could see from their expressions that Fred and Boyd weren’t finished, but she wasn’t about to let them
leave unscathed.
The Davidson family was small, and now that the conflict had ignited, it was better to end it once and for all.
Fear was written all over their faces. They knew that with Maren’s abilities, vanishing without a trace would be nothing for her.
“Mr. Marshall, aren’t you going to stop her? This is a threat! By her own logic, shouldn’t you be stopping this evil before it spreads?”
“Evil? What evil? She’s clearly reminding you to be careful in the future. It’s a kind reminder, Lucien said, digging at his ear with zero urgency, as if nothing that had just happened mattered at all.
“What?” Fred and Boyd froze, exchanging glances.
If it weren’t Lucien standing in front of them, they would have already thrown themselves into a fight. How was this even remotely fair?
“Gentlemen, have you made your decision? Maren’s voice cut through the tension, sharp and brisk. Time wasn’t on her side, and patience had never been her strong suit.
“I’ll go along with it.” Fred’s voice trembled. Backed into a corner, he surrendered.
“I’ll have someone seize every last asset your family owns. Pack your things. I want both of you out of Voutsas
