Upon opening the gift box, Maren was surprised to see a bracelet inside.

She automatically touched her wrist, recalling the bracelet she had left next to Tyler’s body.

“Are you tracking me?” Maren asked, pressing a dagger against Sawyer’s throat.

It seemed unlikely to her that this gift was chosen at random.
