“Boss, get out of here!”

Tucker was still trying to make sense of the situation when his team began yelling frantically behind him.

That hissing sound just before was a fuse being ignited, attached to Scorpion’s finger.

As Tucker made contact with Scorpion, the body tipped over, triggering the explosives by the motion of his finger.

“Fuck!”

With a shout, Tucker threw himself backwards with all his might.

The forest echoed with the roar of a massive explosion.

Far off, Simon and his crew, who had just completed their arms delivery, jerked in alarm.

“Simon, was that the boss?” Westley inquired, looking towards him with concern.

Westley was aware that Maren had orchestrated this operation, and they had just witnessed the sophisticated weaponry in the crates.

“Have you completed your assignment yet?” Maren appeared suddenly behind them, her sniper rifle casually draped over her shoulder, having approached without notice.

“Boss!” Westley gasped, visibly startled.

“Everything’s in place. The weapons are safely hidden in the basement beneath our headquarters. It’s secure,” Simon said, quickly recovering his composure.

Westley’s face lit up with delight. He immediately fell silent, ceasing his inquiries.

Simon remained quiet, but internally, his admiration for Maren grew.

She was precisely the leader they needed. His choice to support her had proven correct. She was destined to lead them to greater heights.

With a brief gesture, Maren dismissed them and dashed off towards the military academy.

Time was running short before her scheduled engagement. She pondered the situation at the academy in her absence.

Earlier, he had also instructed Zane to purchase a specific bracelet.

“Did you manage to find what I sent you for?” Sawyer questioned sharply as he climbed back into the car.

“Certainly,” Zane answered, handing over a beautifully wrapped box.

Sawyer lifted the lid of the box, revealing a bracelet that was an exact match for Maren’s.

Zane was baffled, unsure why Sawyer would buy something so distinctly suited for a woman.

As Zane continued to mull this over, Maren appeared, striding towards the military academy.

The car door still open, Maren instantly caught sight of Sawyer. She had not expected to see him in this place.
