“How did you manage that? Where did all that ammunition come from? You were meant to be over there…”

Scorpion had intended to point out that Maren was supposed to be shooting from her previous location.

“Yes, Scorpion has already entered in pursuit,” replied a guard stationed at the perimeter.

Following the report of the incident to their headquarters, Tucker had personally assembled and led a team to the site to avoid further complications.

Before Ricky, not yet twenty, could finish, Tucker struck him fiercely across the face.

As a skilled fighter, Tucker’s slap sent Ricky tumbling to the ground.

The others remained utterly silent, none daring to utter a word.

“I’ll handle you later!” Tucker snarled, turning away. “Everyone, come with me! We need to back up Scorpion. We can’t let Tyler’s killer escape!”

“Yes, Boss!”

The group hastened towards the source of the gunfire, leaving Ricky by himself.

He exhaled quietly.

Considering that even the Sovereign Underworld had sent an elite member to contend with the female racer, there was no justification for the Angels of Death to confront her head–on.

Dusting off his clothes, Ricky started his walk back to the city.
