Thomas led me inside after he parked the car and carried my bags for me. Once we were inside he told me to pick any room I'd like. I winked and quickly ran to the room attached to the top of the tower. When I opened the door my jaw basically hit the floor.

All of Thomas's guests rooms were always decorated in a Victorian style. They always looked like the pages of a magazine. Not this room, not anymore. This room looked like a teenagers room. All the furniture was white wood. The bed was a four poster queen sized bed with a beautiful light blue bedding set. The vanity and dresser along the wall were beautiful vintage wood with glass knobs. There was magazines and books on a bookshelf along the other wall. In the tower space was now tons of beautiful pastel pillows. All In all this room looked like it was designed for me, and it definitely didn't look this way the last time I was here. I heard Thomas chuckling in the door way so I turned with a stunned expression on my face.

"Well what do you think princess?" Thomas asked with his beautiful smile.

"Thomas... I... I don't know what to say! What on earth were you thinking?! This is all amazing and wonderful, but what on earth were you thinking?!" I all but shouted at him. I was frustrated with the amount of money he must've spent. My head was starting to ring and my necklace felt heavy, but not hot thankfully.

"Calm down Noel, I knew you'd react this way. I just wanted you to have somewhere you could call home if you needed. I don't want you to feel like there's no where or no one you can turn to." Thomas replied, his voice full of emotion and sincerity. I all but started crying. I ran to him and hugged him.

"Okay, okay, you're getting my shirt wet." Thomas playful stated while hugging me back softly. I grinned up at him then went back to my new bed and threw myself on it, feeling only joy, despite the deep chasm I felt in my chest.

"Hey now, go take a shower and change before you make that bed smell like dog!" Thomas somewhat jokingly chastised me. I smirked at him and rubbed my butt on the bed some more to which he rolled his eyes. He grabbed my bags, mumbling something about needing to get the dog smell out, and left the room.

By this point I figured I must be dragging my feet all the time or something. Anytime anyone touches me they feel a shock. I don't know, but maybe that's how static works? I never noticed it before going to school, but no one ever really touched me. I know for sure that Thomas never did. I would remember. Even when he hugged me our skin didn't make contact.

We spent the next few days visiting some of our old hang outs, watching movies, and eating. I felt like I was going to leave Here at least 50 pounds heavier at this point. We talked about me mostly, my experiences when I lived here and my new ones at school. Christmas passed and Thomas surprised me with a brand new phone. I tried to give it back but he refused saying I needed a way to call him if I needed him. Once the break was almost over we decided it was time to visit my group home. Honestly, I was dreading this.

We pulled up to the house I grew up in. It looked run down. Shutters were falling off, the paint was chipping, and there were several shingles missing. There wasn't a Christmas light in sight. I knocked on the door, when it opened all the kids ran into me, knocking me onto the floor. I laughed and hugged them back. Several made skin contact but no one was shocked as far as I saw, I shrugged it off.
