Thomas stepped outside with them and shut the door. I was getting ready to ask Amy if she could hear what they were saying before she put a finger to her lips, telling me to stay quiet. After I few minutes Thomas walked back in and shut the door. First I looked at Amy, curious why she shushed me.

"Supernaturals have really really good hearing, and eye sight, didn't we tell you that?" She stated.

I rolled my eyes and replied, "No, no. You did not tell me that." Then we both turned to Thomas and I nudged him, "Soooo....?"

He laughed.

"Well they aren't too happy that I'm here but I reminded them I wasn't on their territory and that I've personally never been deemed a threat. I explained that my leaders knew I was here and that I had every right to be. Then the bigger boy, Michael right?" I nodded so he continued, "got really upset saying that you girls shouldn't be here. I reminded the headmaster of my rights. He tried to calm his son down but he ran off. The headmaster apologized and left. But I can tell he really really isn't happy I'm here." The Thomas laughed. Like all of that was the most normal thing in the world.

Just then I received a text on my phone.

Are you okay?

It was from Michael I quickly replied yes I am perfectly fine. Then my phone dinged again.

I don't like you over there. It's not safe.

Now he was upsetting me. He didn't want me but was going to try to dictate my life?! I don't think so! I quickly replied, I don't care what you like, butt out.

I was sitting there fuming when I realized something. Michael pushed me away because he has a mate out there! He didn't want to love me because in the end he would just end up hurting me. My heart was still broken but honestly it just made me love him more. I smiled as a tear rolled down my cheek. I decided to text him again a little nicer.

Look, I've known Thomas basically my entire life. He's been there for me when I had nobody. I trust him with my life.

"So wait. You really don't know? You could be younger or older?" Amy asked.

"Yeah I guess so." Was my brilliant reply.

"You know I've had a theory about that." Thomas inserted with a smile, "I bet you were born on or close to Christmas."

I looked at him, I had no clue what would even make him think that. He just laughed.

"Your name is Noel after all! Sounds like a Christmas name to me!" Thomas said with a smile. "That would make you either 17 1/ or 16 1/. Still a youngster either way"

I just shrugged. Regardless it didn't matter much and I'd probably never know the answer. How I hadn't thought of that before though I'll never know, definitely made sense.
