I just nodded my head and sat back down to my book. I didn't know if Brie and I would be friends but I hoped so. I decided to try to get to know her better if the early hour didn't make her too grumpy. I made some small talk and eventually she seemed to open up to me.

I learned that Brie felt like a black sheep in her hometown. She said she had some family here so her parents shipped her off. Brie has family nearby and she could've stayed with them but didn't want to feel like the black sheep some more. She also said she hoped to become a wildlife expert. To which I snorted in surprise. Hey! She definitely doesn't look the type! She was excited to explore the woods here. She thankfully didn't ask too much about me.

When 7:00am neared we decided to head down to breakfast. Okay, she decided and pulled me along. Despite feeling like a black sheep, she most definitely wasn't shy. There were pancakes, eggs, and bacon. We grabbed our plates and sat around the table.

There were only a few other students there and they were clearly not morning people. Most of the students resembled zombies with the drooping eyes and lack of energy. None were in a mood to talk it seemed, everyone sat and ate their breakfast in peace. I would've felt awkward breaking the silence so I kept to myself.

Next thing we know a very bouncy, platinum blonde haired girl comes strutting into the dining area. I knew immediately she was one of those people that Amy hard warned me about. Her platinum blonde hair was curled perfectly and fell at her shoulders. Her nails were perfectly done. And her outfit, though ridiculously revealing, looked expensive. She had blue eyes and a pretty smile. I could tell she was trouble.

"Hi everyone! My name is Loren Riley! I am student body representative for the junior class. I haven't had a chance to meet all of you so wanted to visit the dorms and say a quick 'hello'. If any of you need anything don't hesitate to ask. I am in charge of, well, pretty much everything. So no one knows what's going on better than me! I can help make your life here very comfortable... or not." She finished with a dazzling smile that felt anything but genuine, then walked right back out.

The other students started to murmur amongst themselves. I had no desire to talk about this girl, thankfully Brie must've felt the same because she said nothing. We finished eating and headed back to our room to get ready for the day.

It was now 8:00am and I was hoping that Brie was fast at getting ready. I never took much time so within 15 minutes I was ready to leave. I didn't want to leave her, but I also didn't want to be late on my second day. I was having an internal struggle over it when she walked out of her room, thankfully ready to go!

I wasn't paying attention when I rounded the corner and ran straight into what felt like a warm wall. When I looked up I realized it was one of the boys that was with Loren yesterday. He was insanely gorgeous.

The man in front of me looked like a professional football player. I could tell he was strong. He was tan with brown tousled hair and warm brown eyes. When he looked down at me he flashed a killer dazzling smile. I was expecting him to be rude like Loren but he wasn't.

"I'm so sorry, are you okay? I guess I wasn't paying attention. Are you okay?" He sincerely apologized, I could see the genuine worry in his eyes. How someone like this was friends with someone like that Loren is beyond me.
