Sure, Sasha might be using Shane, but he wasn't exactly blameless, either. After all, he had replaced her with a stand-in for no reason, then kept showing up acting all out of control. Her way of getting back at him was nothing compared to his actions.

"But anyway, why'd you call me?" she asked.

That was when Shane finally remembered why he'd called her. "I picked up a side gig. Basically, I help people who aren't from our circle get into exclusive spots so they can meet the people they want and hopefully seal a deal."

Sasha was surprised. "That's actually a pretty smart business. So what?"

"I'm running low on events to attend right now. Do you happen to have any memberships I could borrow?" Shane asked, sounding a bit awkward.

Sasha didn't shoot him down right away. "Let me check."

"Sure."

She opened a drawer overflowing with membership cards for all kinds of high-end events. She couldn't help but frown.

Back when she had too much free time, she'd eagerly gone to every event just to hang around and pass the time. But now that she was working, she realized how much she'd been wasting.

The cost of those memberships alone was dozens of months of her salary plus commissions.

"Are you free right now? I've got a stack of cards. You can swing by and grab them if you want," Sasha suggested.

"Sounds good," Shane replied.

The thought of grabbing her cards and quickly making some extra cash had him feeling pretty pumped. He opened his bedroom door to find Yvonne still up, sitting in the living room.

A chance to make some real money was right in front of him. Shane had been eyeing influencer work for a while, so he'd spent some time getting familiar with social media and marketing. Now, he was finally ready to put that knowledge to use.

He pulled out his phone and began drafting a message to let people know he had access to exclusive venues. Anyone interested could message him for details.
